I think it means we’re onto something here. But I could be wrong…

Um…we didn’t mean to kill the thread. We haven’t really won yet. Really. Carry on with the mating dance, please.

Aha! A guilty bump!

I go away to play some games and look what happens. I’m too lazy to go back and find the quote (this is one of my faults that you’ll just have to put up with, and gimme a break, I’m just living up to my username) but somebody asked me how to engineer quality. My answer is that I actually do have a plan, and if you sign the right NDAs I might even show it you. I think we might be better termed analysts, basically I just get to be nitpicky on somebody else’s time. Somebody else asked about my Welsh grandmother, and you’re right, but she’s also by way of Missouri (or Missourah) which makes it all worse. I can’t deal with mushy Okra either.

And I just realized a forgot a few of the basics in my first post…5’8, bigger than I oughta be, but according to a friend I have a ‘nice rack’, blonde to muddy brown hair depending on the season, green eyes that sometimes look gray in sunlight, fair skin.

Nymysys, you can now rest easy that you didn’t kill the thread, but now I’m worried that I will.

Woohooo!!! I have been noticed by an unmarried doper!
Not that I mind being noticed by the beautiful fun and unavailable Green Bean.

Green beans and bacon? I don’t think I have ever had that. It probably makes for some soggy green beans. Although, filled with bacony goodness. I think I will pass on trying em, though. I like green beans when they are crunchy and uncooked. And I like bacon when it is crunchy and cooked.

Oh too bad you don’t know where my watch is. I really really hope it ends up being in the last place I look. Otherwise, it is in the first place I looked. And I will never look there again.

I live in Santa Barbara, which, of course, is right next door to Alameda. Ok, not really. Atleast they are in the same state.

Oh, I forgot to mention, you can find my picture at the People Pages. Thanks to Shayna my picture is up for the entire world to see. (Hopefully, that guy who hates everyone won’t find me.)

pat

Well, damn. Two people in the same state, even. I think it’s time for other people to start placing bets.

I’m in Nym.

:lays down a Benji:

Thank you, someone else with variable eyes! I told someone my eyes were blue, but looked gray at times, and they acted like I was crazy (well, I am, but not because of this…)

Irishman, Hi there! If you could find a way to compliment me by working Medea into the mix, you would be a fine man indeed. Most guys just get kinda squeemish about the legend…understandable considering she wasn’t particularly nice to her husband when he wanted to get remarried. Even so… blush

Lurker, one of my very best friends has varible eyes. They go from deep blue, through green, gray, brown and hazel. Also purple, but that is when he’s wearing his favorite colored contacts. I think its a fun trait…especially for identification purposes.

Contacts are cheating. What I’m working on is getting one to turn gray while the other stays blue. If I manage it, I’ll show you - it’s pretty much straight across.

Well, don’t place any bets yet. Santa Barbara is a few hundred miles from here. Too bad I didn’t know about you in June, when my sister still lived there. I was down there every 3 or 4 weeks this spring.

So, when are you going to abandon all those tile roofs (rooves?) to join the .com madness?

All right, more folks with magical, color changing eyes!
Mine are hazel, usually green with a brown streak in each one. But sometimes they are all brown or a really great green.

Carry on!

DRY made me realize that my profile lists an address I don’t use much. If anyone out there wants to e-mail me, I can be reached at erkittynurse@earthlink.net

Michi

And you know, it was against every instinct I had, to have to point this out. :frowning:

Because, of course, I’d really love to keep Michi’s corresponding (and she’s a good correspondent, folks), more to myself!

I made clear my opinion in my paean to her near the top of page 3 of this thread. Michi is beautiful and intelligent. And she is incredibly kind hearted and selfless. As as this thread from Fathom will show:

http://fff.fathom.org/ubb/Forum3/HTML/001220.html

There are a lot of really nice, intelligent, attractive and talented people on this message board. I like to believe I have at least a handful of friends here. But Michi is one of my two very favorite SDMB people.

[sub](I can’t mention the other one, but she knows who she is. Not that she needs my attention)[/sub]

I won’t be submitting a profile here, as unworthy as I am. But I did want to post in praise of a friend.

It is to laugh that Michi doesn’t have a significant other. Nay, a platoon of them.

No wonder why those guys in Florida can’t elect a president!

DRY, you are just TOO much!

I’ll have to go along with that too - mine are usually hazel but they go bright green when the weather is humid or I am really emotional.

[bump]

No no. That’s not the question. The question is: When are you going to come to your senses and move down to the land where the real estate is expensive for good reason, not because 300000 yuppies won the dot com lottery.

Why did your sister leave Santa Barbara? Why did she live here before?

Surprisingly, not many dopers live in the Santa Barbara/Ventura area. There are plenty up north, and quite a few down south. But, aside from me, I think there is only one other person who lives around here, and I don’t think she posts anymore. (Well, if she does, I forget her name. She had just moved here to go to UCSB.)
pat

Is anyone going to actually meet? Don’t tell me this thread will die without a winner!

And, no, scratchie and Rasa, you two don’t count.
