Hey! Welcome to the SDMB!
And you know what, after that I’m drawing a blank. This is why I’m not on the welcoming committee.

I love “Fall Back” time on the first Monday morning… but I hate it at 5:00 that night when I’m ready to go home from work and OH NO! it is only 4:00, I have another hour to go!
I’m in Michigan and very close to the Indy border… all my TV stations are from South Bend, and it totally messes them up, it takes me at least two weeks to remember what is on when… ((I know whine whine)).
But I’m also used to being able to get down to Grape Rd. for dinner at a good time and being able to beat the Indy crowd.
Its confusing if you live in a zone that changes, but do a lot of your living in the zone that doesn’t.
An extra hour of sleep is always a good thing. There is one down side to Daylight Sanings Time, I have to change most of the clocks in my house. My parents don’t know how to work the VCR and he Microwave.
YOU’RE childish? Hell, I loved that show too. I liked it when the Pete’s had their own radio station. That was cool. The ice cream man! And who was the Super hero guy… I forget his name.

**what if you feed a gremlin during daylight savings time? **
[hijack]
When can you feed a gramlin? I mean, isn’t it always after midnight, really? This has bothered me for my entire life! Please, I beg of you, make sense of this!

**One good thing about living in Arizona … don’t have to remember when to set your clocks back or forward – they just stay the same all year 'round**
…Unless you enter the Navajo reservation in AZ, which as I recall does observe Daylight Savings Time.
And if you keep going, into the Hopi rez, you’re back in Standard Time.
Please correct me if I’m wrong, Mauvaise, I need to know how many wristwatches to buy next time I’m in the Four Corners.

**<picky>It’s Daylight Saving Time, no second S in the second word…</picky> **
It’s also a pet peeve of mine. We’re supposed to be fighting ignorace but everyone else in this thread spelled it wrong. “Daylight” is singular so “saving” should not be plural!
Actually, it ought to be hyphenated: “daylight-saving time”. When we set the clocks forward in the spring, we are “saving” daylight.
