Hi there folks,
If no one minds, I’d like to add my name to the maybe column. I usually spend Saturday mornings at a Habitat for Humanity job site, so I may be a bit too tired / muddy to make any public appearances. But the walls / roof should be set up by then so it might not be too bad - wish me luck.
Out of curiosity, and while I have a host of DC Doper’s attention- how many musicians do we have in our neck of the woods? I think Sqrl plays professionally, and I am pretty sure I’ve seen a few familiar names pop up in the band threads. I can’t speak for this ‘fest, but someday we should get together and make some noise. I’ve got some extra drums around, it would be interesting.

I’m also a singer; maybe an after-Dopefest karaoke expedition might be in order. My favorite KJ doesn’t do a show on Saturdays, but I could do a little research on another show we could hit. Anyone else up for that?

I sang in high school in both madrigals and glee club. I can really do any part other than true bass (read: my singing voice is about as deep as my natural voice, and I can control my falsetto). I ain’t doin’ solo.
Instruments . . . I played drums in school for four or five years and given a bit of time with which to get reacquainted, I could probably do a decent job with not-too-hard stuff.
We can always get her drunk later.
I mainly sing baritone, but I can also do tenor or bass if pressed.

All right, DC Dopers, go ahead and count me in on the St. Patrick’s Day festivities. I have a roundtrip ticket on hold that I’m going to purchase when I get home. Actually, I was going to purchase it last night, but–eh–long story.
