Thanks for the company! We think the second Thursday every month sounded good. Next time the Chinese buffet next door ($6.95) for a change. After that, perhaps elsewhere. I had a good lunch, and a great conversation, and repeating that can’t be a mistake. Scuba Ben, and Anita Vacation agree in theory to a monthly thing.

Hey, everyone, think about it! If the day won’t work for you, speak up. If you know a “middle of the County” sort of area that can be reached, extra speak up. The worst we could do is say, “Ewww, we don’t wanna go there.”

I think we should each try to think of a magic trick to do, next month.

As much as I’d like to meet up, we have customer reps visiting for the next few weeks, and I can’t casually run off for a 2 hour lunch – some one has to play bathroom monitor for the visitors.

p.s. Anyone have an interest in doing a dinner? Evenings are much better for me…

Interesting idea, nyctea. How about dinner a week from tomorrow? Since I’m taking that Friday off. (Mainly due to the customer reps planning to fly home before the weekend, so there’s no reason for me to be in the office Friday.)

I know this good place in Silver Spring, its decor is quite arrrrrtistic.

Hey, the tenth didn’t happen, but, my car is fixed, now, and I am up for it, perhaps this coming Thursday. That would be the 17th, I suppose. And since evidently no one showed up for the last one, I guess the Chinese place next door to the burger joint from last time is still worth checking out.

Or, perhaps others have better ideas. I am listening.

I won’t be able to make it myself this Thursday (of course, I couldn’t have made it last week either). Another day, another week or another month and hopefully I’ll be there.

DC is a long way to go for lunch, and that does affect my motivation. Add to that that everyone seems to be waiting for me to do it, and my heels drag. It’s a character flaw.

I may have some stuff to do in DC in March, or April, and will have enough motivation to do something about it. Or, hint, hint some other DC doper might organize something.

So, we’ll keep on postponing this one, too. Let’s say Thursday, the 31st of this month, for one last try for the new year. If not, February, some time.
