I know I’m going to catch some flak because of this, but the absolutely wonderful, sweet, handsome and charming SINGLE guy in my office invited me to lunch (just lunch, unfortunately). I know that you all are wonderful, sweet, attractive and possible single but a girl has to have her priorities. The man SMELLS wonderful and when he smiles…well, it’s about to get graphic, so never mind. I told him that I was sacrificing our lunch to keep him company.

Hey guys, is the gang all going next Friday (the 18th)? I have a final at 10:00, but should be out by 11, and then I’ll be halfway to DC (I go to UMBC).
How hard is it to find parking? Anyone capable of providing directions from 95S? I’ll look everything up myself, but I was hoping someone could help me out, since MapQuest sucks (especially with DC).
Bonus: May 21st is my 20th birthday! So I’ll be in a party-girl mood. And I’m really hard up for a Dopefest, so I’m excited anyway.
So who do I get to meet (or re-meet) next Friday? 
We usually meet every other week, Sara, but in your case we can make an exception. Right, guys??
I can’t make the next week, 'cause I’ll be in Ocean City celebrating my birthday and the end of finals, but I might be able to do it the two weeks after that. Once school is over, it shouldn’t be a problem.
But then again, a girl only turns twenty once! Woo hoo!
I don’t want to trouble anyone with hooking up on an off-week, so just keep me updated. I really want to meet some more Dopers, and the ones I’ve met won’t recognize me! (I cut off all my hair and lost twenty-five pounds since January.)

Speaking of getting people out, it seems Valkyrie has dropped off the face of the earth. If she wants to redeem herself, she better make an effort to stop copping sniffs off of her cow orkers and show up sometime soon.

But someone please help me with getting there. Every time I’ve gotten mapquest directions for DC, I’ve ended up totally lost. Should I take 95 or the Parkway? How’s parking? Is it anywhere near the Mall or a major landmark I can look for?
(When driving in DC, I often feel as though I’m driving in a seperate country. Don’t get me started on last Sunday, when I was cruising through DC at 4 in the morning looking for NY Ave.)

Don’t drive in DC. It’s ridiculous on a weekday, since there’s no parking.
Drive down 95 to a Metro station, and Metro in from there. If you get on at New Carrollton, take the orange line into the city and get off at McPhereson Sq. If you get on at Silver Spring, Wheaton, or Grosvenor, take the red line from those stations to Metro Center, and then transfer to the blue or orange line downstairs to McPhereson Sq.
Don’t drive.
So, who’s not taking off early for the holiday weekend? We’re not expecting Sarah this week, right? But, my good comrades Olentzero and dcnewsman will be there, right?
