Afternoon,
I was in Vienna, VA fiddling around with the insides of my car wearing a suit and heels at the appointed lunching hour, my deepest apologies though.
So the next one is Fri. the 13th then? (cue twilight zone music.) Groovy!
According to my calendar, we should be having a Lunch Bunch get together come about this Friday the 13th. Just wondering if anyone is going to show up. We meet at noon near the outside elevator at the McPherson Square Metro station, 14th Street Exit. Our default lunch spot is Cosi, across the street.
Also, is our missing Lunch Buncher Olentzero still around? You don’t post, you don’t visit, you don’t call…
I really should make at least one of these before we head for parts unknown…this may be a good one to shoot for.

I like your dog idea. I’m sure you can’t count me and my wife (poster Miabella) to be part of the crowd. Besides I always like to see who has what kind of dog. Let me know if this ever gets organized.
dcnewsman… how can you possibly think of having a Lunch on Friday the 13th? Last thing we need are some Dopers being picked off one by one in Au Bon Pain by some maniac in a mask - even if he is the chef.
fruitbat, sure I will. One of these days, while it’s getting nice out, I’ll begin a thread on it. 
Oh, heck, I’ll be there despite the creepiness of the whole thing. Friday can’t possibly be any worse than today, so I’m not real worried about. (famous last words…)
Uh-oh, now you’ve gone and jinxed it! Well, at least we’re not lunch-bunching it at midnight in a cemetary or something…I’ll see to it that any raving loonies with freakishly long fingernails are sent your way though, TTO! I will also be showing up for this bunch, despite the ominous mutterings above.
I’m afraid I can’t attend any Dope gatherings if panache is there, because she doesn’t like me.

Turns out I have to sit this one out. In addition to having a wicked hangover (hi, panache!), it turns out I have a meeting scheduled from 11:30-1:00. Grrr… I hope you all have a wonderful lunch without me. Hopefully I can make the next one.

Well, for an opportunity like that I’ll find pigtails…and bring my own inkwell! (Although on first read I thought you were threatening my “piglets” which gave me a laugh, but makes no sense whatsoever!)
We’ll toast a sammich or something to you (ha ha, toast —> sammich? yes, pun intended) sorry you and dorgy aren’t showing…
And TTO, I’m not wussily letting any sort of “hangover” craziness get in the way of my packed social schedule…and meeting schmeeting, they’ll never notice if you just quietly slide under conference table and slink out, so long as you don’t bang things under the table and make a racket, OR play footsie with the higher ups, sometimes they like it, but best not to chance it!
So now that I’ve thoroughly scolded those two…guess I better hie myself hence and get to the lunchin’ portion of this ridiculous, yet nutritious, day.

Hmmm, I’m at work today but probably oughtn’t sneak out. 56 minutes and counting… I was sort of consoling myself with ChanceFest on the brain and I packed my lunch today. I think I’m ducking until next week. Enjoy!

Well, I hope I can make it, but I am home for yet another day with og-damned wisdom teeth trouble. Hopefully my butcher of an oral surgeon can fix me up in time for me to be able to eat solid food again on Friday.
