I may be able to make it. Sadly, I usually work Sundays, and I had to use my last personal day for some family things this Saturday. If I have off, I’m there. If not, I can’t call out and still pay my bills, so we’ll see.
I should have my schedule for that day sometime this week, so I’ll post back soon.
I really hope I can come! I want to meet John Corrado so badly!
I have to pretend I’m a real Virginia Gentleman the day before, when in actuality the real VG will be in a flask in my tuxedo pocket.
As such I shall no doubt be cravatting it somewhere in the Shennandoah Valley that Sunday morning, trying to hitch a ride back to civilization and a shower. Count me as hung over at best, and tentative optimistically. Don’t wait around for me, but I’ll slag ass if I can.
It looks like I won’t be able to make it; I’m scheduled to work 12-6:30. I say fuck it, I’m going to try to get someone to work for me, but it’s going to be hard (and not just cause I’ll be broke). Sundays are retail’s equivelent to the seventh circle of hell. Anyone who has off will be living in the streets, begging for bread crusts, and wearing duck-taped shoes before they will volunteer to work a Sunday.
I shall try, though. I’ll keep y’all updated. If not, we can always get together in late May (AFTER school is finished, thank God) and have a summer/Sarah’s 20th Birthday/end of school celebration.
Of course, my parents would grow sixth toes before they’d let me have it at my place, but we can figure something out.
Wait . . . I’ll be the only one from my family going . . . and probably the only one in my particular vehicle, unless Captain Amazing and/or goboy want(s) to attend.
Ok - they don’t take reservations for groups or anybody at all, so I’m going to get there at noon just to make sure “Cecil Adams” gets on the waiting list.
Nacho - Do you think you could make it to the May 12th NYC dopefest?
Ya ready for this? I will probably be there!! (yahoo, my first gathering). What’s more, Mrs. Spritle and Baby Spritle will be in tow. Of course, this all hinges on how the little fella is doing at that moment. If it’s rainy, cold and gross, we’ll probably stay home so he won’t get sick. If it’s nice and he had a good morning nap, we’ll be there!
I know there had been some discussion about meeting at the metro and walking up together. The family and I will meet y’all at the restaurant.
If I remember correctly, it’s on Fairmont, down the hill from where Sushi Chalet used to be.
Yep, it’s on Fairmont… I think we’re all meeting at the restaurant, unless someone wants to meet at the subway station, which is fine by me too (it’s a quick walk).
