Would any of you DC people like to meet in Georgetown on the evening of Saturday, July 7 for dinner and drinks, conversation, and general happy times?
My girlfriend and I are taking a vacation in DC that week, and it occurred to me that it might be a good time to get to know some of my favorite Dopers.
I’ve mentioned this to Pucette. She says she’ll probably be in the city that weekend anyway.
So, whaddya say?

Where do we want to meet?
Well, there had been some talk of meeting at Garrett’s in Georgetown. It was my local bar when I lived there.
If there are any other suggestions, please make them. It’s been quite a long time since I’ve been to DC, so I don’t know much about the local restaurants any more.
Garrett’s sounds fine. I usually meet people at J Paul’s, but that might be too crowded on a Saturday night in the summer.
Hopefully more of the usual crowd will see this thread over the weekend.
There’s a pretty good chance that I’ll be able to make it. Hope G’town has the electricity back by then!

I can go. And this time I’m not going to extend any invitations for a ride there because I’ll be taking Metro. Unless, of course, someone needs a ride from somewhere near to Metro.

Ogre says that 6:00 is a good time, and since no one else has chimed in a time, 6 it shall be. Not sure if I’m gonna make it or not.
