Pronounectomy successful.

ETA: First on Three!!!

Home. **FCD **has to get an MRI tomorrow - bad disk in lower back is suspected. I just hope it doesn’t mean more surgery. Plus his car is in the shop for its own surgery - to the tune of $700 or so. Seems like we just can’t quite get ahead.

Supper is gonna be tuna steak teriyaki, rice, and steamed broccoli And strawberries. Yum.

Is it Firday yet?? <sigh>

Howdy Y’all! Three down and two to go! WOOHOO!!! Tomorrow’s excitatement at work includes an hour long team meeting and two hours of training. I may not sleep tonight in anticipation of it all!

I have been productive. I have grocery shopped, mowed the front yahd and watered the crop. Have I mentioned I have a crop? I have ‘maters, squishes, banana peppers and bell peppers. I got lil’ baby squishes, banana and bell peppers! 'Maters have blooms on 'em.

Dindin was a deli plate from the grocery store. Chicken tenders, mac & cheese and peas.

OK, Haze…so where’s the rest of the OP??? We wanna know what else happened!

Do not file" file. Heh.

So you’re not going to tell us why you were MIA, Soapy? :dubious:

Still tired today, so I didn’t get as much done at work as I wanted to. My allergies are really bad, so I’m not doing anything outside. I’ll get emergency stuff done tomorrow and Friday night.
Might do another round of laundry. Definitely getting some packing done. But really feel like crawling into bed.

Back later…

GT

So, I watered the crop. What happens? It clouds up and starts to rain. :dubious: Then it gets sunny but thunderin’ off in the distance.

It must be the Apocalypse!

Or normal Spring weather.

Eesh… Lot of bad backs here. First me, then your FIL, now FCD. At least the repair has gotten a lot better in the past couple of years.

over the weekend I shall regale you all with the tail of the upgrade that never happened. I am still trying other options so the story may have a happy ending but I needs must go be stubborn again - I may have to reset my PRAM . . .

**gotti **- this is a workman’s comp case. He was setting up a dog-n-pony show in the rain for some mucky-mucks in DC. He nearly fell off the gun module (12 feet up or something??) - so we’re lucky it wasn’t worse.

Unfortunately, our favorite orthopedist doesn’t do workman’s comp… always something. :frowning:

Complicated Roommate and I decided to go out on a limb and try the Middle Eastern place for dinner tonight. YUM. He lived in Yemen for a while as a child and he said it brought back good memories. I said YUM.

I hope it all works out for FCD, FCM.

One more day. One more day…then I’m free for the weekend. Admittedly, tomorrow is going to be a bit of a goat rope, but hopefully, I’ll get through it relatively unscathed.

Nothing much else going on. I guess I should figure out the dinner thing. I’m not even hungry, but I’m sure the rest of the family is.

Long day with another on the way. Didn’t read. Sorry. Night, all.

Well, let’s see. I’m officially out of the shop now. I handed my key to the crazy new owners. Why crazy? They’ve never worked in the food industry before and decided to open a pizza shop on a whim. And, there’s a pizza shop right next door (literally) and another 2 within a half mile. Oh well, not my problem anymore. What is my problem is that every car that we own (minus one) is filled with stuff from the shop with nowhere to put it, there’s an antique refrigerator in the driveway, and my bed is unable to be slept in because of all the things covering it.

Yee Haw!

I made it through another day. Actually, it was quite dull compared to what often happens.

Hope you find some storage space, Pie.

gotti, it’s like that here at work.

Spaz where is it kept, a big pile on the floor?

Night, rigs!

FCM, a 12’ tall gun? WANT! Hope FCD gets better soon.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’.

Not much else to say. Hungry. Need brekkies.

Later Y’all!

Belated happies, Taters! Hope you had a good day of celebrations. I was talking to 'im indoors the other night (it was his birthday on Monday) and he was bemoaning the fact that his family haven’t really done anything about his birthday despite the fact he’s visiting them for a week and was there on the actual day.

He sounded a bit disappointed so I think this weekend will involve makings of birthday cake for him, he comes home on Monday evening so it will be a nice surprise for him. Poor little lamb!

In other news, I am swamped with exam stuff and project stuff, marking, grades and a welter of spreadsheets. And I’m going to see Seth Lakeman at Shrewsbury Theatre on Friday with a friend. Fun times!

Ouch. Well, my back was getting better. I did manage to make it into bed last night by throwing everything off to the floor. Unfortunately this morning that mean crawling out over the end of the bed which is rather tall. I tried sleeping somewhere else, but since I use a cpap machine and can’t sleep without it, it just didn’t work. [/whine]

Morning all! Up and caffeinating - I actually got up aruond 4 am today  but that’s okay, I got in to work early so will earn credit time whoo! Now I gotta get some food in my tummy, probably a scrambled egg white and some N.O.T.

Happy Thursday all - one more to go, then a HOLIDAY on MONDAY!!!

Up and off to work. Game tonight.

My caffiene-procuring adventure:
I stagger into my local Satanic Donut Shop ™ and order a brewed iced tea with lemon. “You vant sugur?” Asks Spindly Russian* Girl behind counter. No, just lemon. She brings me “Here you go, rassbury ice tea, extra sugur, no lemom”. Ok, it’s busy, and she’s working both the counter and the drive-thru window. I gently correct her (ok, I blearily glare and repeat my order), and she gets it right the second time. She rings me up and I hand her my Trusty Plastic Portal to my checking account. First scan, upside down. :smack: Second scan, backwards. :smack: Third scan, right, but she rings me up for the last drive-thru order (thank goodness for those little screens on the front of the register, otherwise I would’ve footed the bill for 3 iced coffees with no ice, extra sugar, and 1/2 a dozen Boston Cream pie donuts :dubious: . By now there’s a line of zombies behind me, lurching in place and desperate for their coffee and brain-flavored baked goods. I’m just about to decide that I am not meant to have iced tea today, when Spindly Russian Girl gives me the nicest, prettiest smile ever and hands me my iced tea and plastic money and says “I take out of paycheck, have nice day”.

I love free caffiene.

(*I think she was Russian, but could easily have been wrong. She was very spindly, though)

Have no idea how I got to work in one piece (well, despite whacking into a curb that one time), was zombie-like the whole way. I think I got nibbled on waiting in line… or I just need to be better disciplined about managing my insomnia :(.
Parents and lil’sis come home from Portugal tomorrow night, yay! Also I get to see Mad Engineer Boy Monday…there are Newport planz afoot, I think :D. Also-also I really want to start spinning again this summer, as there is a sheep farm down the street from me that offers classes.

BLUB!

Which is BLURF! but under water. We are now officially covered with more water than Faye dropped (and that was a lot) with more to come. You’d think after nearly a month with no rain that the ground would soak it all right up. But NOOOooooooo!

pie, what are your plans now?

boo fae, please to sends sum kake thru CD dryve? kthnxbai.

Here is what my son, Lil Lestat[sup]TM[/sup] is up to in his alternative universe. And, no, he is not homeless.

Much work to do today.
