It may have been lifted, to be honest, but kanicbird was, at least once upon a time, restricted to posting questions and posts to a specific thread in GD that were in regards to either his rather …unusual religious beliefs, or Life After Death. I can’t recall which. And it’s possible I am confusing him for another poster entirely.
That all being said, there is precedence. We had a poster by the name of handy who was prohibited from posting medical advice in threads, and I’m sure there are others.
While Der Trihs does not turn any thread he posts in into the Der show, I think this is because he doesn’t respond to every person who posts in response to him like Dio used to. Hell, he doesn’t respond to me at all anymore, but I think that might be because we have mutually ignored each other.

Maybe he’s like that old joke about Republicans, they’re Democrats who’ve been mugged. Der Trihs sounds like he’s been accused of something by women and now cannot trust them for anything. That child support thing, if accurate, is like the stance someone would take despite knowing that the biological differences between men and women already means the playing field is not level, but is ignoring it in favor of some arbitrary rule hoping that it will force equality. He’s a smart guy, he has to realize you can’t treat men and women the same way.

If that’s true, I don’t ever, EVER want to read another word from him on how the right hates women. In fact, I think that should be brought up every time (as well as the one about how women accuse men of rape, so secretly video taping one’s sexual encounters makes sense).
I believe thisis the thread in question. I had a lot of time on my hands back then. And apparently didn’t know to spend it abusing drugs so I wouldn’t feel like I wasted it.
I whole heartedly agree. Treating men and women the same is why the world is as fucked up as it is and why the global economy is in the shitter. The moment we started treating women like equals we started our own downfall. To fix this we must go back to treating women differently. Back to the kitchen ye vile wenches and fetches us a mead.
Treating men and women “equally” and treating men and women “the same” isn’t the same thing.
I’ve never met any women who argue that just because men are allowed to walk around topless that women should as well. Similarly I’ve never met any women who’ve argued that the unwanted touching of a woman’s chest should be treated no differently than the unwanted touching of a man’s chest(I.E. Rahm Emanuel jabbing people in the chest while arguing with them) and I think most womb would object if the NCAA required all female swimmers to wear the same outfits as men.
However, that doesn’t mean women shouldn’t be treated equally.
