A long time ago, there was a chat-room-with-avatars called The Palace. I was a total internet noob, but since I’ve always enjoyed being annoying, I chose as my avatar an endoscopic image of a duodenum. Hilarity ensued (though not much chatting). I believe I would stick with the duodenum avatar just for old time’s sake.
Ahem. I just did a search. Apparently, The Palace is still a thriving community. I guess they just pretended to stop existing so I wouldn’t bother them any more.
I use a Death fo Rats drawing that I found here on boards that allow avatars.

Here is a site that makes custom avatar icons… it’s where my original came from.
Since I don’t have it uploaded anywhere (unless you want to check my LJ profile) and I can’t be bothered to do that right now, I have an icon with an image I made of Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex. She’s shown fron the waist up on the left side, with a dark blue background, and green lines and numbers behind her, techie like.
Either that, or my grad picture. The one my friend described as looking like “I’m going to devour your soul. But you’ll like it, I promise.”
