Oh, I agree with you. I don’t think he’d shoot up the party. (And in fact, he didn’t.) I just think he was extremely perturbed at Andrew’s egging him on to howl. He gave Andrew one of those psycho-killer looks, and even did the hand-motion pistol firing thing right at Andrew from across the pool. (Which freaked out Julie, and was why she left.)
No, what I think he’ll do is brood about it for a few weeks, doing things with pictures of Andrew, or peeking at him through bushes as he stalks him around. He’ll blame Andrew for Julie walking out on him. (Psychos just reason that way: if he hadn’t started that howling crap, I wouldn’t have had to do hand-motion shooting.) Then, the storyline could go several ways. For example:
A: Zach just shoots him.
B: Zach “catches him in the act” with Justin, and shoots them both.
C: Zach “catches him in the act” with Justin, and begins to realize he’s gay too. He goes after Andrew’s affections and, unrequited, shoots him.
I watched the frist two or three episodes of this show, and kind of said “eh”. I just couldn’t get into it. But a friend was over last night and insited we watch it, and I was dying laughing the whole time. I hate to think I’ve just added another “must see” TV show, but that episode was one of the funniest things I’ve seen. The whole “I want to mow your lawn and trim your bushes” deal was hysterical. And the condom belonging to the daughter was great, even though I called it as soon as the subject was brought up at the dinner table.
I think she’s recovered from her gambling addiction. It was only those two times with Gabrielle, once before she knew and once after.
Even more diabolical, I would submit that Mama Solis has a huge insurance policy, but it’s left to her grandchild, with Carlos and Gabrielle as trustees. Which means, either Gabrielle would have to get pregnant or give up her lifestyle to have a baby she never wanted.
Not sure, they weren’t too clear on it. What ever happened to the Papa Solis? Maybe they will find a huge trust from him or something? Who knows? I’m confused.
Zach find out Andrew’s secret and confronts Andrew. Andrew kills Zach (after all, he’s already run down Mama Solis…maybe it will be another drinking related burst of anger), but then the murder is blamed on Zach’s dad.
I think Susan is going to feel boatloads of guilt the next time she sees Bree, and will inadvertantly blurt something out, Susan-style, or whisper something to Gabrielle or Lynette.
Either way, I think Susan has too much on her mind, what with her daughter in love with a teenaged boy with rage issues and a boyfriend with a police record, to be worried much about her frolicking neighbor’s son.
I don’t think they’re going to do anything with the gay storyline. I think it was a shock value thing and it won’t go anywhere.
Although a Bree/Andrew “you’re gay and that’s wrong,” “you’re playing bondage games and you’re telling me about what’s right and wrong?” scene would be lots of fun.
Whatever happens with Zach, it’s not going to be some big mass murder thing. The horrors on this show are small, managable horrors. A mass murder, clearing out all the teens in the neighborhood, would be way too large a horror. The DHes can cope with the small horrors. A big one like this they couldn’t.
Otto. They are sooooOooo going to deal with Confused Gay Son. The show’s major arch-conservative has the only gay child during February sweeps? Susan knows. Gabrielle sorta-knows. Busted in a pool? Yeah, buddy.
Mama Solis’ gambling problem has gone on for years according to Carlos. We only saw her gambling twice, and the second time she lost thousands. She may still have a good insurance policy (paid for by her son?). And Gabrielle is going to get pregnant soon because her no-good husband has swapped all her birth control pills for sugar.
Why the hell were the boys engaging in gay frolicking in a neighbours pool right after a party in which dozens of people were in attendance if they want to keep the thing a secret?
Anyway, my convoluted prediction is that Bree’s son, in a bid to prove that he’s not gay, hit’s on julie as the nearest and most convenient female. Julie, on the rebound and flattered that a cool kid would be intersted in her, jumps at the oppurtunity and Zach becomes increasingly jealous and broody.
Then again, we’ve already had a wierd stalker person plot that wen’t nowhere (what the hell happened to those pills?)
They were kind of hidden away, in the dark, behind a right-angle turn in the pool. Even Susan herself would have thought nothing of the shadowy figures had she not been specifically looking for Julie. Anyway, sometimes the brain secretes more hormones than it does rational thoughts.
Deidre was married to Mike. We don’t know how she disappeared.
We don’t know much about Mary Alice/Angela’s past, except that she worked in a rehab center in Utah, and Mrs. Huber’s sister knew her then (15 years ago). She went to the same therapist that Bree and her husband have been seeing.
There’s some speculation in earlier DH threads about connections between Mary Alice and Zach, and that maybe it was Deidre’s bones in the trunk that Zach’s dad dumped in the river.
I heard one of the actors on a talk show (I think it was the guy who plays Rex) and he talked about how the writers had gone back and forth between making Rex’s secret that he was either gay or into S&M. In the end they went for S&M. I guess they decided that it leaves the gay bit for his son.
Doesn’t the son, Andrew, have a girlfriend? Perhaps they’ll eventually “solve” this by deciding he’s just bi-curious and eventually he will swing back the other way. Then again if he gets caught for the Hit and Run and sent to jail then he’ll probably stay gay.
Here’s how I’m reading it: Deirdre’s dad knows that Mike is involved with Susan, and he’s pissed about it, either because he feels Mike is betraying Deirdre or because he thinks Mike is stalling on his investigation. So, he paid off this cop to bring in Susan and tell her the details about Mike’s past, getting her to break up with him, so that Mike can continue his investigation without distractions.
