Wedding-related stuff abounds. Also, a housewife faces a life-threatening illness.

A double wedding would have made sense to me, but then, I think I’m a bit more sensible than these folks!
Oh, my…I did not see that bit at the end coming with Lynnette and the news.
Edie is a horrible, horrible woman.
it’s fun to be the villain!
I didn’t know which of them was going to be sick, but based on the commercials I figured one of those two was going to be in a bad way. (the whole sitting side by side and holding hands thing gave it away.)
So, any predictions on how Mike and Susan’s wedding will be interrupted or postponed?
I think their will go off without a hitch, relatively speaking, but Gabi’s will be troubled.
I’m just looking forward to seeing Bree again.
I dunno, the Mike/Susan relationship saga has been so reminiscent of Lois and Clark that I can’t help but think something will happen to keep them from getting married for at least another season.
i thought gabby should have run far, run fast, last week. this week def. cemented that thought. run, run, run!!! this guy is bad, bad, news.
i really miss bree. i knew she was my fav. for a reason. this show is just blah without her.
They only show Bree from the neck up in the previews for next week. Anyone thinking baby?
That was my thought too. That or she finally decided the only man she could truly love was herself and had the surgery.
I saw a full shot with her obviously preggers. I guess they decided to write it in.
Marcia Cross gave birth a while ago, to twins. That’s why before Bree went away on her honeymoon she was shot behind big plants and what-not and why she’s been on her honeymoon for so long, to give Cross time off to deliver the kids and recuperate.
I’ve got a feeling that Carlos will get back with Gaby, and Bree will end up with the mayor.
I know, which is why I was surprised to see her with a big belly on the preview.
I’m guessing they will milk Lynette’s cancer storyline over the next season, while introducing one or two new “Housewife” characters into the story to see if any of them get good fan reception (perhaps on the arm of a freed Paul Young?). If any of the new girls look like they might be a good replacement for Lynette, they’ll go for the shock value of killing her off; otherwise, she’ll be successfully cured, or at least the disease will progress over several seasons.
Really, Kell? I don’t think they can afford to lose Lynette. After Bree, she’s the best character on the show.
Oh, sure she’s a great character. But think about Lost - after last week’s ending, people are ACTUALLY WONDERING whether or not Locke is dead! On any other show, you would never even consider that such a pivotal character might die (barring the actual actor’s death, like John Ritter in 8 Simple Rules), but one thing Lost has going for it is genuine unpredictability, and that adds a lot of suspense, which holds viewers very well.
I think DH would like to have that degree of “anything really could happen” unpredictability, and if over the course of the next season they find a character that really clicks with viewers to a degree that she could replace Lynette, they’ll go for the shock/suspense value of actually killing her off. However, cancer is not the fastest of diseases, and this gives them the wiggle room to still keep Lynette if she does not appear replaceable.
