Do you think Dexter will make it back to clean up the OLG mess?
How did Dexter get to the cabin before OLG? He was sitting in his parked car, all hidden away, when OLG pulled up. Did he know about the cabin? He must have. Otherwise OLG would have noticed someone following him.
But Dexter’s car was pointing in the opposite direction from OLG’s truck. For him to drive around and find a spot in the bushes, he needed to be right on his tail or to know where OLG was going. If he’s driving with his lights off, how does he find that brushy, secluded spot?
I’m trying to picture the kind of road or driveway that would let Dexter get to that spot and park, within seconds of OLG’s arrival. He should have been behind OLG.
Dexter followed him from the bar, he didn’t get there first.
I think there’s a good chance the latest murder scene will be discovered before Dexter has a chance to get back and clean it up. It’s almost too good an opportunity for the writers to pass up. Dext will be gnashing his teeth worrying about what he might have missed, and there’ll be tons of new leads to follow up. And Lundy might keep the Miami people entirely out of the CSI, as they are all suspects, so lots of opportunites for friction between the locals and the suits.
I think she’s under the impression that he’d been waiting there for a while before the bad guy arrived. I’m thinking he just veered off at the last second and parked in a different place in the yard — behind some bushes. The camera didn’t pan until bad buy got out of his truck and walked into his house.
Wow. I was just flipping channels and saw some previews. Did you guys see them?
Dexter is handcuffed, and his box of blood samples is on Lundy’s desk, and Lundy’s asking him to explain. That’s all I caught. There might have been more.
Your comment reminded me of Deadwood. I was a huge fan during the first season, but they lost me in season 2 because nothing happened. They just stood around jabbering about how a government was going to spoil all their businesses.
If Lila goes missing, I imagine the fact that she was being investigated for the second major possible arson in her life would be most people’s first thought.
Same with Doakes: he’s a loose cannon, and he’s already talked about just leaving everything. So if he goes missing, people will think he just bolted.
Lundy hitting on Deb just seems wrong, given that he’s her superior, and he seems like rather a by-the-book type of guy. He should have at least transferred her off his line of supervision. But maybe that will be the ethics problem that makes him leave this case.
Here’s what I don’t get. Deb knew what time and day the car was checked out and checked back in, so they still have that record, I can’t believe they would track that and not put the persons name down.
But the more I think about it, the more that it seems kinda sloppy of Dexter to do something that’s at all traceble. Remember, he may have been slipping lately, but he at least used to be pretty good about covering his tracks. OTOH, they spent quite a bit of time talking about that specific case (Rodreigo?), so I’m guessing it won’t be a dead end.
If by “last episode” you mean the one that aired this past Sunday, yes I did. But the episode before that one (which scenes were included in the previouslys) featured Deb putting the moves on Lundy, his laying out some of the reasons why it was a bad idea and her kissing him.
