Is that conjecture or did they say that? I really don’t remember hearing that…
I thought I remembered him just saying that she was taking a shower and he stayed outside the door watching for a bit or something along those lines?
I’m reasonably certain that there was no masturbating in Aurthur’s revelation to Dexter.
He said he was watching his sister shower. Dexter gives him a look. Arthur replies that “I was 10, it was innocent.” I don’t recall Arthur saying that Vera was rubbing out a quickie in the shower or that he was “innocently” handling his hog in the hallway. Do I get points for alliteration?
Dexter said he killed a guy in self defense.
Hunting accident, I thought it was?
Ahhh but there is the literary twist. This season is about two men haunted by an incident in their childhood that smashed their psyche. Add to that the recent revelation of a daughter who secretly observs her father commiting a horrible act and how that affects her.
Dexter hopes to avoid passing this to his family while Arthur used and hurt his family while using them as a sheild.
Dexter constantly reminds himself he is not like that.
Irony kicks in if one of his children is affected by his “hobby” leaving next season set up for whether he has to create a code for another generation or find a way to break the cycle.
Yes, it was a hunting accident , not sure where I got self defense from. He did not admit being a serial killer.
Guess I was thinking of when he killed one of the Prado brothers in season 3.
Hunting accident or no it would be quite the revelation to a spouse who is suspicious that you are keeping too many things from them.
Think of how you would feel if some stranger walks up to you and tells you your loved one killed someone (even accidentally) and never reported it. Covered it up.
Murder, in the non psycho world, isn’t a minor thing that can be dismissed or easily overlooked.
Ahh! Yes, this, exactly this, please let this be true! Given what happens in the books and the goldfish disposal scene with Cody in Season 1 plus the references to Dexter being “good with kids,” I think you could Really be onto something here.
Yeah, I hope they skip ahead a few years so that the little baby is of an impressionable age. I wouldn’t mind if they replaced the child actors of Astor and Cody with older teens.
Le gasp, Astor could get run over by a car and I wouldn’t care but I like Cody.
They could just get rid of the kids and get a dog, AFAIC. Maybe a viscious dog that can help Dexter kill – or eat the corpses.
Who’s gonna be able to ID Arthur or his killer after Arthur is run through Fido?
I don’t think Cody is really a character at this stage. He’s too young and the screenwriters haven’t trusted him to be able to pull off more as an actor.
Astor’s turning into a self-centered Rita-in-training. Actually, more like a Rita’s-mother-in-training.
Her mother named her Astor. Give the kid a break.
with all the talk of Cody taking to the “family business”
This would be my dream ending for dexter.
Harrison lives to see his family slaughtered ala dexter being hunted by a crazy villain. The person to find Harrison alone is Deb, and she carries him off like how Dexter was carried off by Harry. Not sure other people would like it, but i would love that as an ending to the series.
I’m confused. What talk was there of Cody taking over the family business? And who’s Harrison?
I don’t remember the talk about Cody but Harrison is the baby’s name.
Right right…I didn’t remember the name and didn’t see a listing on IMDB for a Harrison.
Did we see Rita and Dex talk about what to name the baby? I don’t remember. But Harrison = Harry’s son? Interesting.
