Scarborough Fair, down in Waxahachie, beings this very Saturday, and I have a wench costume that has not seen any action yet. Add that to the fact that we haven’t had a DFW Doper get together in a while, and I’m thinking it’s time to don some kilts, swig some ale, and make very bad puns.
Tickets are $19 for adults, $6.50 for kids, and little 'uns under five are free. There’s entertainment, yummy stuff to eat, cool stuff to buy, and much fun to be had. I suggest, then, a Doper outting.
Dammit, it snuck up on me. I’d been planning to make myself at the very least a bodice so I wouldn’t be completely mundane, but then two months ago I started on a tailcoat and never finished it, and now here’s the Faire.
A Sunday is best for us, unless we have at least a full week’s notice to try to get a Saturday off. This Sunday it’s supposed to storm.
Kelliebeans and I have been talking about going. We’re having a garage sale tomorrow (being Saturday the 9th of April), but maybe on another day or another weekend we can make it.
This is the first I’ve heard of such a plan. Where are Zyada, Lord Jim, Ziactrice, and the others?
