George Carlin did the social commentary routine so much better than anyone today and it really shows. Chris makes great points. However, he’s just not as funny and cutting as George was. George remains just untouchable.

Of course, George Carlin is a pretty high bar to clear. Pretty much impossible, I’d say. “Untouchable” is right.

I think Bill Hicks deserves to be in any conversation of outstanding social commentary stand-ups.
