Did Someone Order a MMP?

Happy sari-day!!

We got to Ocala finally. I’m about to crash - tahred…

Leave in the morning for the baby sprinkle or whatever the heck its called for a second kid and the love and togetherness of Dad’s side of the family.

And probably burning something down or blowing something up.

Ya gotta love kinfolk like that.

Sounds like fun.

It’s amazing what a good sleep can do for a body. I made it most of the way to 5AM and l feel almost human.

The drive wasn’t too bad, but a few times, we hit major downpours that slowed us. And we stopped a bunch of times for a grand total of 14.5 hours start to finish.

We pick up the truck at 9, then head to Orlando to load it. With luck, that will just take a couple of hours. I’m hoping FCD will leave tonight and drive a few hours, but that’s his call.

So, yeah, happy Saturday…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 71 Amurrkin out and cloudy (well, dark) with a predicted high of 88 and mostly cloudy for the day. Radar shows green and red stuff to the west of us just over the Alabammy/Jawja line, so who knows. As long as any rain holds off until after mowage of the back forty over to the church house it’ll be good. That’s the big item on today’s agenda along with the makeage of cheese thangs for the reception after deheathenization tomorrow. I have taken the cheese and N.O.B. outta da fridge to soften. Our Episcopal Bishop will be with us tomorrow and also tomorrow is Pentecost Sunday so everyone should wear red. I have ush duty as well.

Anyone up to watch the whoopee do weddin’? I’m up but not watchin’. The Presiding Bishop of The ECUSA is preachin/presidin’/whatever.

GrandMOOOOOOM glad y’all made it safe to Flarduh.

{{{Midget}}} hang in there!

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I need to get ready for mowage. Fun times ahead!

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

I’m up. Turned on the T V for a few minutes and decided I don’t really care so shut it off again. I’m sure it will be replayed thousands of times.

I have to irk today, dammit. And like a fool I scheduled a meeting for Moanday morning when I am supposed to be off on Moanday. I have to sit on an interview panel on Tuesday and Wed the maid comes so it looks like I will have to be off on Thursday instead of Moanday.

Happy weekend though for those that celebrate.

Off to the shower with me.

Up, caffeinated ,and sheveled. Off to work. Double shift today.

I admit it, I’m up way early on my day off and watching the wedding.

The women have their party and all us men-folk have scouted out a remote location for our “lets get away from the wives” time. Knowing the cousin who is handling that aspect … I expect much fun.

Well time to shut this down and hit the road.

Today is my alto-versary. On this day 4 years ago, I got my alto clarinet.

Blurf Irking and it is slow as expected due to dreary weather. I told Sat girl she is on her own today but I am here if she needs me.

I have an appointment with the Key Control officer on Moanday so I tidied up that binder though I am sure it is not perfect since new forms have been created. Why oh why can’t the govt leave stuff alone. I swear there is an office somewhere full of people with the main mission to change shit. It boggles the mind… I am still using the old forms so the joke is on him. Folks Do not be a facility or program manager for the govt. The money is OK but the administrative work is too much. Cutting into my slackardship… Off the slack.

BTW Meghan"s dress was nothing special as far as I could tell. Probably cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars or pounds as it were. Kates was much prettier IMO.

First on 4 woo hoo

A late happy birthday to you sari!

butters, the private sector is just as big on process documents as the gubmit. Over the years, I’ve been the writer of such docs on a lot of occasions.

I was bone tahred when I left irk yesterday. I bought groceries and took Nelson to the dog park briefly before picking supper up, then came home, ate supper and crashed.

Today, I have sheets and towels in the wash, the puppy crate cleaned and just finished breakfast, for which I’ll do KP shortly. This evening, SIL and I are going about an hour north to hear one of my fellow heathens play music. We’ll have a nice supper first though. She, my niece and great niece got up today for a Royal Wedding Tea Party, complete with crumpets and big hats. :stuck_out_tongue: Me, I may have to turn in my girl card because, while both the bride and groom are attractive people, I really don’t care to watch their wedding at 0 dark thirty.

Happy Saturday!

Rain again, and expected through Toosday, although there may not be any tomorrow.
That would be nice since the drive to the armpit sux worse when it rains.
The back yard looks like a jungle, I haven’t looked out front.

Thank y’all for the birthday wishes.

I didn’t wake up until 8 this morning, if Ripple hadn’t jumped up in my face I’d probably still be sleeping.
I have a lot to do today, always something.

Glad you had a safe trip FCM

No wedding watch for me Swampy, I don’t even like the weddings of those I love, I’m sure not gonna watch two strangers geet married. I don’t expect their marriage to last either. One of my friends called me this morning and we were talking about the wedding, she says they are such a cute couple and he really loves her. I said no, it won’t last and it doesn’t matter how much he loves her because I don’t think she loves him. My friend is such a hopeless romantic. When her daughter’s bf told her daughter that she could quit hs and he would take care of her, my friend thought look how much he loves her, he wants to take care of her (not that she agreed with the quitting hs part). My first thought was he wanted to keep her barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen, it’s not love, it’s control.
I guess I’m too cynical.

On with the day, too much to get done and never enough time to do it all.

Howdy Y’all! Home from mowage of the back forty as well as push mowin’ the Memory Garden which needed it. The Memory Garden is where the columbarium niches, outdoor Altar, outdoor Baptismal Font, Labyrinth, and a cool bell from a deconsecrated church are located. Nice peaceful place between the Church Proper and the Parish Hall. Push mower was bein’ cantankerous but in the end I prevailed. Go Me! I have showered and have had a beerverage. Sustenance and nappage to follow shortly.

Happy Altoversiry Midget!

Evenin’ all.

I am thoroughly uninterested in weddings unless I know the people involved. I don’t think they even had the traditional scrap about who said what about Auntie Susan 30 years ago, which is the best bit anyway. Dull.

On the plus side for me, the allotment- which is in the grounds of and shares a car park with a historic manor house- had loads and loads of parking today. Normally on a sunny Saturday, the place is jam packed with visitors, tour busses, and us allotment holders can barely squeeze in. It was empty today.

The makeage of cheese thangs has been accomplished. I knew y’all were worried. Samplin’ has been done (quality control is of utmost importance!) and they have been pronounced good.

Between coaching and refereeing I missed the wedding (no big thing) and the FA Cup Final (that I do regret). Hit 87F so I am tired and well-burned, but the spring soccer season is over…well almost over, I’m going to Charlotte 1-4 June to referee a tournament.

Midget, happy alto-versely.

FCM, safe travels.

For everybody else, assorted hugs and good tidings.

Think I am going to nap now.

Consecutive posts about blowing things that make beautiful noises.

You know why women’s feet are smaller than men’s feet?

It’s a evolutionary trait…so they can stand closer to the stove.

I had the all-news radio station on in the car to get the traffic report & they cut in to live play-by-play of her getting out of the car & walking in; I changed to a music station. There was also a nearby theater that was simulcasting the wedding so one could watch it on the big screen, for $10/person (+ popcorn).
Swampy, is there breakfast popcorn w/ bacon in it? I figger you know all things bacony.

For those of you not in gubmint service; here’s a short video of the meeting.

We supped upon grilled ham 'n cheese sammiches and oven fries. Beerverages were the perfect accompaniment.

Spidey here ya go. Bacon flavored popcorn.
