Why is dill the predominant herb used in pickling? Why not, say, oregano pickles or thyme pickles?
I always thought he was the weakest of the Rugrats characters but there was…oh…wait…the food…
There are non-dill pickles. A lot of recipes for bread and butter pickles or cornichon pickles don’t have dill.
Yeah, and for some reason I just don’t like non-dill pickles.
I just totally ruined my potato salad by squirting relish into it…and realizing later that it was a sweet relish. (Hubby didn’t realize he’d bought sweet relish, either)
Uck. Yuck. Blech. Bleargh. >.<
Hated bread-and-butter pickles growing up too, though, so I’m sure it’s just me.
