I have to say that I’m just a tad miffed. This is, what, Chick’s 4th anti-Muslims tract, yet gay folks only get bupkes! Oh sure, there used to be two, but The Gay Blade went out of print and now we have just lame old Doom Town.

Isn’t pitting Chick a bit like stealing candy from a baby, kicking a man while he’s down, fighting your way out of a wet paper bag, or falling off a log? I used to find Chick tracts to be contemptable but now I can’t help but laugh at them. I may not be the first to say it but here it goes, HAW HAW HAW.

While I’ve heard of Chick tracts on the boards, this is the first one I’ve ever actually seen, and it’s really upsetting.
I knew there were people who hated Muslims out there, but I’ve never seen such deliberate, poisonous unmitigated hatred in my life. The depictions of Muslims with evil, twisted features were actually quite disturbing.
I know that people like Chick are so bound to their racism and bigotry that they will never come to see Muslims as human beings, but I can’t help wishing that he can see some of the goodness and kindness that I’ve seen and come to change his views. not likely to happen in this lifetime, I know…

His sense of pacing and perspective is coming into focus here. Not unlike Wendy Pini’s Elfquest he’s using camera location to bring a cinematic drama to the tracts.
Chick hates everybody who doesn’t believe exactly as he does. Muslims are merely one of the groups. It’s easier to laugh at him than to let him upset us.
Bibliovore, I’ll grant that that is one of his more nasty spewings of bullshit, but the point about Chick is that he’s always a hateful bastard. He portrays pretty much all those who disagree with him as twisted caricatures. Which is why it’s convention to put threads about him straight in the pit. Have a look around his site and look at the other tosh he writes - the best response to that sort of hate is to laugh at it.
