Well now that she’s gone, perhaps it’s time for a reappraisal of Jerri. Sort of like Nixon. Was she as bad as all that?
Sure she said things that offended the other contestants. But she did it openly. The others were sniping at each other as well but they waited until they were in little cliques to do it. Jerri was the one who accused Kel of hording beef jerky, but everyone else followed her lead. Afterwords however, the others acted as if she was the only guilty party. And I’m sure Amber, Elisabeth, and Tina also wanted to be paired with Colby for the obstacle course. Jerri was just the only one who said so.
Jerri formed an alliance and stuck with it. It was Tina who betrayed her friends Kel and Maralyn; Keith who suggested breaking up the Ogakor alliance to vote off Jerri; Colby who betrayed Mitchell (and Amber and Jerri).
Sure Jerri caused resentment when she won two reward challenges. But she won them fairly. When she was allowed to pick a partner two weeks ago, she chose Amber, her only true ally and the person who came in second in the contest. This week, Colby was the one who suggested that he and Jerri not think about the game while they were on the island. Jerri took him at his word and then Colby secretly used his time to gather gifts for the people left behind so he’d look like a hero when he got back.
I agree with Nemo Jerri came off a lot more sympathetic in this episode. It was interesting hearing the different thoughts they had of the trip to the barrier reef. Colby was pretty underhanded. BTW, do bits of coral was up on shore? He didn’t actually take them from the reef did he?
Just remember, the ex-Kuchas are still outnumbered 4 to 3.
It will be interesting next week (depending on who wins immunity) to see if the ex-Ogakors continue picking off the ex-Kuchas.
I thought Jerri was going to cry when she watched Colby handing out the coral presents.

At the SurvivorSucks site, the HTML coding (from the CBS site) implies the final two are Amber and Elizabeth, but it’s the same kind of thing they did last time with Gervase and the “X”, so who knows.
I was under the impression that this season they’re going to do the final jury thing live. That way, no one knows who’s going to win, they just know who the last two are. So, if you’ve heard that it’s a woman, logically the remaining two are both women. I was kinda hoping Rodger would win, because he seems like a nice guy, but I do need my weekly fix of Elisabeth and Amber.

I am hooked on the damn program, and it is a pain in the neck to learn the denoument from a thread title. **I actually like the suspense of not knowing **.

I haven’t read your thread beyond the first two postings, and I won’t be in the near future, so can I say as I go that it’s really a pain that news I have been waiting for so eagerly comes this way. I haven’t cheered yet or anything.
Obviously I will have to stay off this board completely the weeks before the end BECAUSE I CANT TRUST YOU GUYS!

There are a lot of Survivor threads floating around. I think it would be nice if we could all do a search before starting a new one, esp. one with a title that gives away the ending.

Hey lolagranola, I’m playing the game over at Yahoo. This week I picked up 105 points because I guessed Nick would win immunity and Jerri would get her arse kicked off the island. I don’t care if I’m wrong from now until the end of the show. Jerri’s not going to win the million bucks and that makes me very happy.
I saw her on The Early Show this week and was surprised that she’s just as unlikeable off the show as she was on. Her appearance didn’t change my opinion at all even though I was prepared to change my viewpoint as I did with Jeff. I ended up loving Jeff after he was booted. Even though Jane Clauson and the rest of the people positively gushed over Jerri, I thought she still came across as a nasty shrew.
She may not have won the million bucks but let’s just hope that she doesn’t make up for it by posing in Playboy or getting some other offer. I can’t imagine that anyone would want her knowing that she’s one of the most hated people in America.
As far as the winner goes…I think Keith’s going to be #1. I have no facts to back that up. It’s just a hunch, but I think he survived the attempt to boot him and is going to go all the way. I guess it all depends on how Amber is going to play the tribes now that her puppet master is gone.
Alas, not inside info. I tried to get that, but the guy who knows wouldn’t tell me. That is – he knows the Final Four. Almost nobody knows the actual winner, since they supposedly won’t open the voting box 'til they do it live for the final episode.
I threw in a lot of gibberish about my humorous alter-ego, the Unbelievable Bloombergini, but the main reasoning is in there. Indeed, I specifically predicted then that Elisabeth would convince Tina and Keith to vote against Jerri.

There I predicted that the Final Four would consist of Elisabeth, Colby, Tina, and Keith. I haven’t gone any further than that in articles yet, but I think Elisabeth’s personality will overwhelm any previous tribal loyalties within those other three, and that will win the day. Either that or she may just win some timely immunity challenges like Kelly did last time. <shrug>
