It is recent, if two years ago can be considered “recent”.
What I don’t understand is why he hasn’t been given a “time out” by the mods by now. Peter Morris got suspended (rightly so, for the most part) for a handful of snarky posts last week, ostensibly for no other reason than “being a jerk”, as one mod put it, but I don’t see how saying things like “Keyboards have never improved a song” are intended as anything other than an attempt to stir up trouble. I get this feeling that the mods look on Dio like the citizens of Springfield do vis a vis Homer Simpson: “Yeah he’s a lout and an idiot, but he’s our Homer!” and forgive all sins.
Peter Morris was ignoring mod warnings. Having an opinion on keyboards in rock is not against any rules.
Well, that’s the problem with the “being a jerk” rule. It’s vague and highly subjective and arbitrarily enforced.

Slightly off-topic, but whenever I read a thread about some religious issue, I usually find Diogenes input insightful and far more often than not in accordance with the motto of this board. Granted, I don’t read that many threads and usually ignore IMHO and MPSIMS, so my point of view could be considered fragmentary, but I’d rather like to hear him add his voice and not his silence.
