So if the position is still open, is Diplomacy something you can just read the rules and start playing? Or would one end up immediately as the butt of every other players’ tormentings?

Well, if I qualify despite my current status, technically, as “Guest”, I’d be interested. I’ve at least played with JC before. As “Guest”, though, I can’t view profiles, so I can’t send that email, and I don’t believe any of the old ones I have work. I guess that’s just the way the cookie crumbles.

I am actually interested in knowing how the game is played. I can tell it’s not for me… looks like you need to know about politics and history and other mysterious things.
