Don’t you just hate the fuckers who start threads and INSTRUCT us to discuss them? They say shit like….”The world has too many syllables in it! Discuss!!!”

What the fuck am I, some kind of bullshit magnet? Do I have nothing better to do than to strike up some conversation with other strangers on this board on order to fulfill what is your idea of a perfect fucking world?
No motherfucker! There are just enough syllables in our world! Don’t you forget it!

Just enough.

Well, you had to see that coming…

Similarly, threads that contain a link to the news story outrage of the hour, with a “I’m too upset to comment now, so I’ll let you guys comment.”
Gosh. Thanks.

I’m not sure if it’s in the official rules but isn’t this sort of thing frowned upon by the mods? I know I’ve seen people get yelled at (not necessarily by the mods) for constantly doing this.

RedFury that was great.

on the other hand, I could really go for a few more syllables.

Ah, I’m getting verclept!

Or the thread titles which have obvious expiration dates like, “Breaking news”

Or “Last night’s [ER, Survivor, The Simple Life, whatever]”.

And then there’s the umpteenth thread proclaiming things like “So-and-so died, oh, my golly!” without checking first to see if anyone else has started a thread on the topic.

As an inhabitant of MPSIMS, I’d also like to vent my spleen (and bile, while I’m at it) against would-be game players who don’t bother to read the initial post and find out what the freakin’ rules are before trying to participate.

I’d like my extra syllables on the side, please.

No substitutions.

Breaking News: Wouldn’t those rules and games be Mindless and Pointless almost by definition?

I say, let the people play in MPSIMS! If not there, where?! Break the shackles now! This whole issue reminds me of last night’s Fear Factor – rules, rules, rules, ruining all the fun!

Obligatory closing…

Of course, this is an emotionally charged topic for me, so I best step back and let everyone else comment on it.

<ahem> The forum is “Mundane, Pointless Stuff I Must Share.” One would expect at least a modicum of mindfulness even there. :stuck_out_tongue:

::: steps back and dons asbestos garments :::

Verklempt.

Mundane, mindless, what’s the dif?
