They were gobs for me, but close enough. Other aspects varied too.
As for the Eenie, Meenie, Miney, I grew up with the tiger version and didn’t know about the other one until a woman came to my high school and talked to us about the world of prejudice, discrimination and put downs. She really opened my eyes.
I couldn’t really remember if it was “gobs” or “globs” either. I actually went with “globs” in the poll because that’s what most people in this thread seemed to be using. So I find it a little ironic that everyone now is saying it should be “gobs”. But as far as I’m concerned they’re so similar it hardly matters.
My Mazda 3’s digital fuel gauge has 12 ticks. I get gas whenever it gets down to 1 or 2 ticks. “Low fuel” light comes on at 1 tick, and I’ve got about 50 miles from that moment.
As said in previous threads, my gasoline filling habits depend on whether we are in a rising or declining market. Declining, I’ll put in only so much as I estimate needing for the next 2-3 days, anticipating further drops. Rising (like right now) I’ll be sure to top off before each expected rise (which always happen all at once here every 1-2 weeks, and not every day).
