I have no bathroom fans; but both of my bathrooms have windows in them. Neither the windows nor the mirrors usually fog up; but my windows in general sometimes fog when it’s really cold, and the bathroom window and mirror occasionally fog when it’s really humid.
I have been to, and at least partially in, the Atlantic, Pacific, and Mediterranean. (I’ve swum in the first two; I can’t remember whether I actually swam in the Mediterranean or just waded in it.) It has, unfortunately, been quite a while.
I like to watch fireworks, whether professional or amateur, provided in the latter case that I don’t think the situation’s hazardous: but I like to watch them from a distance, because I like the light show but I don’t like the noise. Some years I drive partway to a nearby town that puts them on, but I never go all the way to the park where they’re setting them off; I park on a hill overlooking the village and watch them from there. I notice that a number of others do so also; but I don’t know whether they also don’t like noise and crowds, or whether they just don’t want to pay an admission fee (which can also be a factor for me, but isn’t really the deciding factor.)
I don’t want to set off any fireworks myself (other than sparklers) because I am a klutz.
The tough part was picking the THIRD good SNL movie. Sure, everyone liked Blues Brothers and Wayne’s World, but the quality sharply falls off after that.
Myself, I went with Coneheads for my 3rd. I actually didn’t hate Macgruber, much to even my own surprise, but Coneheads was on heavy rotation on cable in the mid to late 90s when I was a teen and I watched it a ton of times. I had to give it the vote just because it has a nostalgic charm for me.
I went with Wayne’s World 2 for the third movie. As SNL movies go, The Ladies’ Man is not a bad film, but it has one serious flaw: the funniest joke in the entire movie is in the first scene. You spend the rest of the film hoping for another gut-buster like that, and you are a bit disappointed when it doesn’t come.
Regarding the question about fireworks: I could take it or leave it. But I heard that Madison WI did a drone show, in part because they have a drought this year. I’d love to see a drone show of that size!
I swam in the Atlantic Ocean just about every summer growing up (and very happily did so again, last week, in Nags Head, N.C.), but in the Pacific only a few times, when I was visiting Hawaii with my parents in 1987.
I value modern medicine, vaccines and indoor plumbing too much to want to live in some past historical period, although I certainly wouldn’t mind visiting if I could do so at least reasonably safely.
For all their many flaws and occasional aggravations, I would far rather have my current family, and the country of my birth, than any other.
I’ve been to a lot of fireworks shows over the years and have reached a point in my life where I enjoy them if I see them, but really won’t go out of my way to do so. If I never saw any more fireworks for the rest of my life, that’d be OK with me.
Our bathroom fan does a pretty good job, and eliminates most of the post-shower fog in just a few minutes.
Every resource [map] I viewed had some but not others. Plus I was at 46 and had already deleted and added some, wanting to avoid the hitting the limit. After 15 minutes of fiddling around I just said the hell with it and hit post.
It’s an official way to treat Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD, which I have, big time) as well as endometriosis and it’s usually referred to as “continuous birth control.” When it works, it’s great. Currently not working so well.
You missed a whole heckuva lot of bodies of water there. I’ve swum in many a lake; Lake Superior was by far the coldest. I’ve been wading in the Pacific at several spots but was very concerned with the undertow and unwilling to do more than wade so it didn’t get a vote from me. The Atlantic did.
You missed brats with sauerkraut and spicy mustard.
The bathroom exhaust fan where I am living right now is broken. Therefore, very foggy.
