I’m not sure we’re going to find out. I knew it wasn’t Vancouver Island. But I didn’t know “exactly where it was.” I knew I had never been there.
Well, i was confused. I’ve since changed my vote.
There is an official way to write COVID. I really don’t understand the logic of people who write covid but recognise NATO needs to be capitalised.
Me too.
My other music is progressive rock, my absolute favorite. And I chose metal, but I tend towards death metal.
Hey - some of us have standards. They may be double, but they’re still standards.
Yup, “SARS-CoV-2”, but that’s a pain in the ass.
Taking $1 from a million people who can afford it is still stealing; so is taking $1 from any number of millionaires without their knowledge.
Hey, now, it just said it’s “from” them; no one said it would be taken without consent!
Am I the only Doper who’s been to the Indonesian islands? Surely not! And I’ll bet the others went as adults, not young children, so they can actually remember more about them than I do.
And sure, it’s COVID officially, but I feel like we’re all on more familiar terms by now.
But it’s not. It’s COVID-19 officially, or SARS-CoV-2 (first is the disease, second is the virus itself). It was never “COVID” but we all call it that, so any capitalization combo is fine.
I seem to remember seeing a lot of “CoViD-19” in March of 2020.
I didn’t select being within 20’ of foxes or coyote because while I have, I was inside and they were outside.
Oh, I went with 100k for the blue hair. As a woman who works in academia, the most that would happen is people making erroneous guesses about my personal life that they probably wouldn’t even ask about.
A fox stole a bag of cinnamon rolls from my food delivery this morning (the milkman brings them). I have a little video from the doorbell cam of it trotting off crinkling the bag. We have a ridiculous number of urban foxes, and they eat well in my neighborhood.
Next time I’ll leave a note for the milkman to CLOSE THE FOOD CONTAINER HE LEAVES THE DELIVERY IN.
Which makes some amount of sense, since it’s short for "Corona Virus Disease.
I like what now seems to be called “classic rock”, which is not the same thing as “easy listening”.
I like bluegrass instrumentals just fine. I strongly dislike some, but not all, of the vocals.
Yeah, I wasn’t sure where, for example, The Beatles would fit in the list of styles/genres for that poll.
Post-rock, like Swans and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and electronic/ambient, are my main listening now, but I like lots of music.
Phil has told Rita what happened. Just not that version of Rita. I don’t see why he’d keep it to himself this time.
Yeah, I didn’t understand the Groundhog Day question. We saw Phil tell Rita the whole story, and that was when he was quite a few hundred years less mature than he is at the end of the movie. Why would he suddenly start making up fake reasons for why he knows everything about everyone in town?
