Ah. I very often haven’t seen movies.
I thought the tortoise question might be a Terry Pratchett reference (Small Gods) but wasn’t sure.

I used to have a very small collection of vintage aloha shirts. A place called The Junk Store (a misnomer – they had mostly very nice vintage clothes) used to have a lot of them. Nice for hot weather. I could dress them down with jeans or wear them as the blouse with a work suit. Versatile and interestng.
I don’t really care about Hawaiian shirts one way or the other, overall. I’ve seen some that I thought looked good on people, and some that I thought looked bad, and some that were just shirts.
But it’s a very comfortable shirt. Works well in hot weather. I bought three when i visited Hawaii, and wish I’d picked up more. This morning, i debated whether to wear the Hawaiian shirt or a long sleeved shirt for my flight, and went with the long sleeved one because my flight out was chilly. But i felt, “i might be wearing one right now” was pretty accurate.
Yes! I don’t know if they were deep-fried or just cooked in a shallow pan with oil. Whatever they did the bread was loose enough in the centre that it would spread apart and fill with honey really well. We called them scones, but if they were really sopapillas? That’s a new word for me I hadn’t heard until today.
Sopapillas are delish if you get the right syrup for them!
Rather annoyed that @psychonaut ’ s poll didn’t have this option:
I will scoop it up or move it somehow to get it out of harm’s way
Something I do as a matter of course, IF the animal in question is clearly disoriented and/or cannot move quickly on its own and there is sufficient foot or vehicle traffic making it likely something else will do it bodily harm. Twice now I’ve saved a skinny earthworm (yes it was likely the same individual) outside my apartment door that had gotten out on the sidewalk in the hot afternoon sun, scooping a small hole in the nearby ground and placing him safely within it and covering him over.
On a horse with no name.
Honey is the traditional condiment.
I always found the traditional honey a little too sweet for my taste. I had a pomegranate syrup once, and it was so awesome.
I do have a few hawaiian shirts. My issue with them is that they only work (as in being a cool shirt) if they are cotton. However, most such shirts now are polyester, which i do not wear if I can help it.
I have one Silk hawaiian shirt, however- few occasions call for something that is at once dressy and casual.
Huh, every Hawaiian shirt i saw for sale was 100% cotton.
That is how they should be. Or maybe silk (in a few rare instances) . No Polyester. (well, maybe a few %).
But here is a Brand: Kahala Apana Hawaiian Shirt=80% Polynosic/20% Poly, and they claim to be the original hawaiian short
Hawaiian shirts.
Hmmmmm………
I had to answer “Something else” because I don’t own any shirts that AREN’T Hawaiian shirts.
Are you Fluffy or Weird Al?
Most of the vintage shirts (from the 1930s and 1940s) I owned were rayon.
Definitely Fluffy.
I recently flew on 2 different Max 8 planes via Southwest. Very comfortable inside but I was a little nervous knowing the history.
I don’t really like large planes. I just flew on a little Embreair jet. That’s the kind of plane i like most. But for a few hundred dollars less, I’ll take the big Boeing 737 Max, even knowing it’s history.
I picked other because I don’t play video games.
