In fairness, my kid works online all day. But yeah, I’ve seen that as well, and not just teenagers.
Snails aren’t super memorable. I’ve had them a could of times, and concur that they are mostly a fancy way to deliver garlic butter. So I’ve always enjoyed the dish, but the snail part of it wasn’t very important. Oh, they are a rubbery.
I disagree about squid, which i think can be delicious. It’s a mild flavor, and the sauce matters, but plain squid is sweet and pleasant.
For sleepwear, i was surprised that “nightgowns” were relegated to “other stuff made for sleeping”.

Last time I was in Thailand, there was a pushcart vendor down the street who would grill fresh squid in front of you to make a salad. Slightly spicy sauce with crunchy greens. The squid was yummy - mild flavor but distinctive.

I don’t understand this comment. “Nightgown” is a separate choice from “some other sleepwear”.
I love calamari, but I stopped eating squid about 10 years ago when I encountered some Caribbean reef squid while snorkeling in Mexico, and realized how intelligent they are.
Oh, i missed it. My bad.
Maybe i was distracted by “nightie”, which is a word i don’t use and don’t know exactly what it refers to. Or maybe I’m just dyslexic.
That sounds delicious!
My wife spoiled the twist in Sixth Sense for me. I’m still kinda mad about it. It’d still marry her again through.

The first time I saw someone out in the wild wearing pajama pants I seriously thought they’d walked out of their house accidentally.
A couple decades ago when my brother and I were at the DMV transferring title on an auto one young woman was there in a black slip. My brother observed, “Someone stole that poor girls dress!”
My sleepwear is nothing.
For sleepwear I think it might have been more interesting and informative if it was split by your gender phenotype ( I think this is a fair way of expressing without excluding the likely physical manifestations of biological gender, no offense intended).
As a male, I’m comfortable sleeping in underwear, although preferably something a touch looser than tighty-whiteys, so my usual boxer briefs or boxers.
My wife, who is generous in the chest area, normally wears underwear and a light top, normally a worn out t-shirt.

I am totally incompatible with my wife when it comes to temperature. I usually wear nothing. Some nights she will go to bed wearing pajamas and a robe.
I don’t think I’ve owned any clothing that was specifically for sleeping in since I was a child.

My situation is similar when it comes to temperatures in bed, but that’s an entirely differerent poll and thread, one which I believe we’ve done several times before.
To the followup poll, I have a partial yes on that. A decade or so ago, my wife got me a lovely pair of silk boxers for sleepwear, and they were very nice… but the proper care and cleaning of them was enough of a pain that when they wore out, I never got any more. And sometimes, during the colder months where I might have to get out of bed a couple of times in the night to deal with cat demands, I’ll make a point of wearing one of my pairs of heavier flannel boxers rather than whatever I was wearing during the day. It’s not a lot better, but perhaps only because I think it does, it seems warmer for those hops out of bed in the middle of the night.

Except for some “family Christmas pajama” thing my wife has done a few times, same here. Even then, I’ll take them off before getting in bed. I sleep naked, or with a t-shirt.
I haven’t owned pajamas since I was a kid. Usually for sleeping, I just leave on the underwear (briefs) and T-shirt I was wearing that day, unless I’ve gotten sweaty, in which case I’ll change into clean versions of each. If it’s cold I’ll also wear socks (usually white athletic socks). If it’s really cold, I’ll add a sweatshirt over all that, and if it’s really, really cold, I’ll add cotton athletic pants. That’s pretty rare, though.
I’ve only ever slept in the nude when (a) it was a very hot summer night, and (b) there was no air conditioning. It just doesn’t feel right to me.
I still wear pajamas every night. Changing into them gets my mind set for going to sleep.
Just to clarify my poll, I meant anything you change into to sleep in, not necessarily pajamas or something else specifically designed for sleeping in. If you, say, take off your jeans and put on sweatpants, or take off the shirt you wore during the day and put on a tshirt to sleep in, that counts as changing into something to sleep in. I was just trying to get at “Do you just sleep in whatever clothes you wore that day, or do you put on something else?”
I only wear something to bed in the winter, usually a pair of long johns. Not for warmth though, the air here is so dry, my legs start to itch in the middle of the night. Wearing long johns seems to reduce the itch factor.
