I’ve seen 27 of those broadway shows. I’ll bet that’s a lot more than most.
Is there a musical of The Play That Goes Wrong? I’ve seen the play, but it wasn’t a musical, so I didn’t know how to answer the “Which of these Broadway musicals have you seen” poll.
I just counted mine - 27 for me, too!
mmm
Ooh, you are correct, Thudlow. What I saw was not a musical.
Sorry 'bout that!
mmm
All the musicals I’ve seen were on Broadway.
Les Miz (several times)
The Lion King
The Book of Mormon
The Producers (original cast)
Not listed:
1776 (Brent Spiner as John Adams)
Spamalot (original run original cast but Tim Curry was off)
The Full Monty (it didn’t last long but it did star Patrick Wilson)
Mean_Mr.Mustard, a Musical junkie? Aww, that’s nice. Not so mean after all. And Karen_Lingel. Let’s get you two hitched, toot sweet!
I guess I dont see much live theater nowadays. Except those at the Disney parks.
I did see A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum, The King & I and several other classics back in my Hollywood days. Those that worked/volunteered in the other Hollywood theater got discount tickets to see the big shows during the matinees. Seeing Yul and Mostel live on stage was fabulous.
I was looking for a zero dollar option for the tattoo poll, but realized as a youth I probably spent at least $1 on various temp tattoos, or at least, on food options that came with a free temp tattoo prize.
My parents’ marriage was highly lopsided. My father was and is in love with my mother; my mother has never once given any real indication that she loves or likes him in the least. She also often steamrolled him in the marriage and was very domineering. I’ve long been afraid of entering a marriage with those characteristics; maybe why I’m still unwed at 36.
I can’t remember ever even having done that.
I might have, but those days are dim. Zero would be what I would want to click.
Same.
I assume @Fear_Itself didn’t include that option because he only cared about people who had bought tattoos. (I’m okay with just not participating in a poll that doesn’t apply to me.)
But if he had included a $0 option, he probably should have included two of them: one for people who have no tattoos, and one for people who only have tattoos that for some reason didn’t cost them any money.
Correct. I’m only interested in people that have spent money on tattoos. NOTA options just dilute the results, and are a discussion of the poll in a No Discussion thread.
Data: up thread I did a poll of who had tattoos or piercings or both, and 13% of 82 respondents had a tattoo.
What if you paid for all your tattoos with cigarettes in prison?
Does copayment for medical radiation positioning tattoos count?
For the sub-$1 category of temp tattoos, I included things that you got in the 10 or 25 cent toy machines, cereal and snack boxes, and the like. I’m not saying I spent a lot, but over the years of my childhood, probably a few (less than $10 certainly).
And while not personally, I’ve seen a LOT of kids at family friendly events or festivals paying a lot more than that for temp tattoos and/or henna.
I voted for more than 6, and many er visits were the same issue: whenever my parents took me to see one of my uncles who lived in Vermont, we’d end up at the ER soon after because I’d have a raging ear infection.
Other than that, I’d gone twice as a toddler for typical toddler stuff, been rushed to the hospital because I wouldn’t wake from a nap at 11 months old and ended up admitted for 2 days with no definitive cause found, cut myself on a glass door I slammed at age 6, and needed stitches at age 12.
Was any of that around in the 1950’s and '60’s?
Maybe it was, and I just don’t remember it. Halloween costumes maybe?
