Discussion thread for the "Polls only" thread (Part 3)

You could divide it up between your first and second breakfasts.

We just watched an Epicurious video on YouTube where three dudes who are meat producers or restauranteurs of some kind blind tasted-tested bacons. This series is worth watching if that kind of thing amuses you; I usually learn something, in fact the vanilla ice cream one was great.

(though the all-star Epicurious video was the whiskey lady, who was highly entertaining)

Not sure why you specifically called out the skin of the potato. I don’t eat the whole thing because I’m not a fan of baked potatoes and they are large, so I’ll just nibble at it, unless the meal is really short of other calories. But the skin is the best part of baked potatoes. I probably eat some of that.

I don’t generally seek out potatoes or get excited about them. The other night my steak came with a baked potato. I had forgotten how satisfying they could be. Nice and soft on the inside with crispy skin. Yes I ate every bit of it. The skin is the best part.

I ate the potato including the skin. My wife only ate the white part and looked at me like I was crazy.

Not only do I eat the skin, but I don’t wait until I’ve eaten the rest of the potato. A crispy potato skin with fluffy buttery potato is delightful.

Baked russet potato skin with butter, salt, and pepper is one of life’s simple pleasures.

The skin and the toppings are the only appetising part of a jacket potato. the inside bit I would leave.

I’m not against sour cream or bacon or some other topping but if done right there is no need for anything other than butter, salt and pepper.

I concur.

I peel away what skin is easy to remove, then eat the rest. That choice wasnt available.

Do you eat the skin? If you do the answer is yes.

PART of the skin, not all. Due to your clarification, I changed my vote. Thank you.

That doesn’t count as a single serving, but what I could do is eat all that bacon TWICE.
I would probably die after, but I would go directly to Hobbit Valhalla where I would continue to eat. (there is no fighting in Hobbit Valhalla, only feasting)

Wow. We are very different people.

Where a hearty and tasty Breakfast, Second Breakfast, Elevenses, Luncheon, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, and Supper is served daily. And there are no tummy aches.

(You know, this seems like a pretty nice place, to be fair)

With 'taters? Can you boil them, mash them, stick 'em in a stew?

Add books to read and it’s far FAR better than Christian Heaven.

Most of the time potatoes are just meh. When they are done really well they are fantastic.

The twins poll lacks an option “Name them exactly as if they were not twins, without checking if the names are related or not”

I voted for unrelated names: bumt it’s possible that I might go for two grandparents’ or great grandparents’ names, IF all the following conditions were met: the grands or greats in question were dead (Jews don’t name for a living person); I thought well of both of them; nobody else in the immediate family had yet re-given those names; and the names didn’t appear obviously related to anybody who didn’t know the family history.
