I think I’d eat that before the coke, unless it tasted or looked off. I don’t like cold fresh diet Coke, and the caffeine will mess me up for the rest of the day, and possibly tomorrow if it’s late enough in the day for it to prevent me from sleeping.
I’ll take a small risk of food poisoning over a certainly of messed up sleep.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure I’ve actually drunk warm, flat Diet Coke before, so that was an easy choice.
I’d eat the Spaghetti-Os if they were name brand, but the “dollar store brand” qualifier gave me pause. When I was in college I bought some off brand baked beans from Big Lots, and they were so awful I threw them away after one bite. I’m afraid of having that same experience with the dollar store brand Spaghetti-Os.
I could tolerate the stale pretzels if I could dip them in mustard.
I didn’t “vote” for it, but I admit to being strangely intrigued by the jello salad. Calling it “grandma’s…” makes it sound like it is something that she makes/made regularly, as opposed to a one-time experiment gone wrong. And that suggests that she and/or someone she makes it for actually likes it. So I’m curious to find out what that person sees in it.
But I’d definitely pass up Aidy Bryant’s overnight salad.
I was surprised to see that I made that poll. I remember now that I had just discovered that you could put the date in a post. September 3, 2026. And I wanted to see a pie chart.
Yeah, this is me. And if I’m going to a super-duper fancy restaurant, I often get the chef’s menu which nearly always includes the dessert.
My dad said icebox, and although he grew up in California, his parents were from Ohio. He also grew up during the Depression.
I just finished reading Circe by Madeline Miller (loved it), and she mentions Achilles being given the choice by the gods of either long life and obscurity or a short life and fame. Obviously, he chose fame.
My phones always have cases and the cases are always bright colors so I can spot them more easily at a distance; the current version happens to be bright orange.
Asurion replaced my phone last year with a pink one. That was okay because it was going to live behind a black Otterbox. The Otterbox needed replacing a couple of weeks ago. The light blue one with a clear back was $20 cheaper..
Now my phone is light blue and pink, which I guess is kinda fitting now. Totally unintentional.
It’s interesting that so many customers want their phones to have premium materials, unique colors, thin profiles, and minimal screen bezels only to then immediately cover it up with a case.
My phone and its case are the same color (orange). But I care less about the color of my phone than its condition. I started with a clear case but it was too slippery and caused me to drop the phone more than simple clumsiness, so I got an orange case with a more matte finish.
My phone has no case. But the back was a really slippery glass. So i bought a … Basically, a big sticker made of leather to cover it. That gives me a nice grip but still let’s it charge wirelessly and doesn’t make it feel significantly larger.
l also have a clear glass screen protector on the front, which i probably ought to replace.
Anyway, i didn’t vote in that one. No case, but no, i can’t really see the back.
