The solution to this is to do a factory reset without restoring your backup, update it, then reset it again and restore your backup. It’s a pain, but you can keep using it safely. (Also, you mean storage space, not memory)

I assumed the poll was asking about app updates, not system updates. And the answer varies depending on the app. I usually update apps that need to talk to the outside world (like an airline app) but i often don’t update apps that i just use on my phone, like games. Every so often, a perfectly good game or photo managing app that used to be a parts, stand-alone thing starts giving you ads or is otherwise broken by the developer.
If it’s asking about system updates, eh, i try to do it sometime when i can plug the phone on and won’t be using it for a while. So, usually some night a day or two after they tell me the update is available.
I assumed it was talking about system updates. Those are typically scheduled to happen automatically overnight after they become available.
As a hip-modern person that communicates via (now outdated) memes, may I suggest “Burninated” as a compromise?
For needles I look away at the puncture and draw, because it reduces the chance I flinch or tense up. Better for everyone that way. 
I update my phone more like 5-7 days after the update. Too much experience in my own past where a brand new patch would cause unspeakable horrors that I’d have to apologize for in tech support (that weren’t my fault) to go with immediate. I voted 1-2 days which is closest, certainly not several weeks.
Same, but it did show after a quick F5. I was correct, but I (accurately) voted “I think” rather than being certain.
My cell phone gets updates? I guess they are automatic because I don’t recall ever being asked about it. It seems like there have to be system updates. I don’t have any “apps” that weren’t on the phone when I got it but I guess updating whatever is there makes sense.
I was sure that the Brits set fire to (sidestepping the burned down issue) the White House and the Capitol, and a couple of other things.
I watch the whole process when they draw blood. If they ask me to look away I will watch more closely. What don’t they want me to see?

I attended a Catholic high school, which was operated by the Norbertine (a.k.a. Premonstratensian) Order of priests. It was named for Abbot Bernard Pennings, who founded the order’s first abbey in the U.S., as well as founding St. Norbert College (which was next door to my high school).
The school is now defunct, having been merged with two other Catholic high schools in the area in the early 1990s, under a new name (alumni of all three schools are now considered to be alumni of the new school). The building itself, which was from the 1920s, was torn down three years ago, to build a new business school for the college.
There was some connection between my high school and Pheidippides. It’s possible it had an official name that no one ever used that was related to him. Everyone called it [name of town] high school, though.
I’ve heard of mackle-whosits because he was discussed in some thread on this site that i browsed, but there were a lot of names there, I don’t remember which he was, and I don’t care nearly enough to look him up just to vote in the poll. P
Curious about what the “other” vote is for. Do we have an alum from Rock ‘n’ Roll High School?
Portland has an Alliance High School. Bend, Oregon has a Summit High. I’ve heard of a Legacy High somewhere. Those kinds of names are becoming more common.
My high school had the very unimaginative name “South [county name] High School”. Yes, there were three other high schools in the county corresponding to the other cardinal directions that used the same naming convention.
There are 306 high schools named (or containing in their title) Liberty. I went to one of them.
But there are none in New Hampshire. Live Free or Die my ass!
My high school was named for the county, and the county was named for a person from about four hundred years ago.
My high school had only a number, may be it could count as a place because it was “MyCity’s high school number x”
My high school was most unimaginatively named. Las Cruces High School, in Las Cruces, NM. Of course, it was the only high school in town originally, one of two when I was attending, and now there’s a third.
Actually, we have 5 now.
My high school’s name was a portmanteau of the names of two suburbs (the school was not located, nor did I live, in either of the two) plus a cardinal direction. I voted “place” since that’s the closest option, I guess.
I’d heard that Macklemore said something that made some people mad, but I don’t know or care enough about the specifics to have an opinion about it.
