Anyone want to change their vote on this one?
Donald Trump said he ordered the justice department to file a lawsuit to block the certification of Alaska’s US Senate results if the Republican incumbent on the ballot does not win.

I think i trust to courts to reject a lawsuit of the form, “you can’t accept the results unless this candidate wins”. There already was a much more reasonable suit to remove the second guy with that name from the ballot, and the courts turned that down. I think this is just Trump, and “the Republicans” aren’t going to support him on this one.
I’ve had many cats over the years and none of them were as cool as Nico. A Siamese followed me home after the Feria in Spain one night and she never left. She was an outdoor cat that slept indoors. I would let her out every morning and she came back every night. I ended up bringing her back to the US with me and she lived with me for another 18 years with the same routine. She 100% chose me and lived her best life. After that, I never wanted another cat. If another one chooses me the way she did, I’ll accept it, but now I’m strictly a dog person. Which is probably good because Mrs Thumper is allergic to cats.
I like both cats and dogs, but dogs are way too much work. Also, dogs are always smelly. Cats are only sometimes smelly. (One of our cats, sadly, is nicknamed “stinkybutt”.)
I enjoy other people’s dogs.
My favorite ghostbusters are, in order, Kong, Tracy, and Spencer.
This is why I only have cats. I love other people’s dogs, though.
I’m in general more strongly attracted to cats than to dogs, but I am also attracted to dogs, and have loved some. So that was definitely a “both”.
Right now I’m in the living room recliner, with a warm purring cat in my lap, a cup of excellent tea, and a book. I think I’ll return to the book. ![]()
Very allergic to both dogs and cats, so I had neither as a child and never learned either “language”. My parents recently confirmed that they would have gotten a dog if I hadn’t been allergic.
Both of my grandmothers detested cats, so cats were never coming in our house.
Same here. We had dogs (and cats) for the first 15 years of our marriage, but after our last dog passed, my wife and I agreed that another dog wasn’t going to fit our lifestyle: at that point, it was a matter of the fact that we traveled fairly frequently, and it was becoming increasingly difficult to find someone to take care of the dog (my wife and her family steadfastly refuse to use a kennel).
We continue to have cats, which require less care, and my wife doesn’t travel much now; the few times in a year when we both are out of town, it’s for a day or so, and our friends who live a block away from us come over to feed the cats.
I still love dogs, though.
I don’t see how anyone who has ever owned a dog can not love dogs.
I don’t see how anyone who has ever owned a cat can not love cats.
So, both for me.
mmm
I love both but where we live, it is not safe for an outside pet. So we have cats- who I dearly love.
Horses and donkeys. No thanks. Big teeth and metal feet. That’s the very definition of a monster.
Both horses and donkeys; but not usually for the same job.
I voted for both horses and donkeys, but was upset that I couldn’t also vote for mules and hinnys.
Horses or donkeys? I think not, neither will fit in a toaster oven.
Many donkeys are cute. I’ve never seen a cute horse, mule, or hinny. (In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hinny.) So anyway, cuteness is why I voted for donkeys.
I like some dogs, but they smell bad to me (“Not my Poochie-Woochie!” “Yes, even Poochie-Woochie.”) Many have jumped on me (“Oh, hah, hah! He likes you! Don’t worry, he’s harmless!”), wrecking my clothes or causing pain in surgical sites. I don’t pick up shit with my hands (“You’re supposed to use a bag!” says my mother). I have lived with many family and friends’ dogs. Almost all bark incessantly (“My Poochie-Woochie only barks a little, at people, squirrels, cats, more people, cars, leaves, and atoms!”) which leads to shouting at the dog (“Bad widdle Poochie-Woochie! No! No! Stop it! Shut up! STOP BARKING!”) which I also don’t like. Most dog-owners I know don’t seem able to leave home for more than a few hours (“Poochie-Woochie gets too anxious!”) and can’t go on vacation or drive anywhere without the dog (“I don’t want to leave Poochie-Woochie in the car. Can I bring him into your house?” “Nope.” “I can only go to a restaurant that gives Poochie-Woochie a pup cup!”). I exaggerate, but not by much.
I think both horses and donkeys are cute. But I’ve interacted a lot more with horses. I imagine if i spent much time with donkeys, I’d like them, too, but i haven’t. So i voted horses.
I feel like horses look down their noses at donkeys, but on the other hand I do like horses, so I voted for both of them.
