As a minority country, my adopted home seems to have at least as many dopers as the UK, and possibly more than Australia, yet it has but a tiny ickle wickle population. Anyone know why?
I guess a few of us can blame yojimbo, but what about all the rest?

yeah, there’s a lot of you lot. I think we’ve got more Aussies though overall but then we have a larger population here.
A tidier comparision would be with NZ which has a similar population base and there’s bugger all of us around the place. Ice Wolf, me who is resident in Australia, apollyon (but he’s MIA), guanolad, another expat…

Hmmm…people so far have come up with a little over a dozen posters. That doesn’t seem disproportionate to almost 4 million residents. I bet there are almost as many posters from my state, which has only a little more than 1/4th of the population of Ireland.
What I think is funny is that all of the 26-county Dopers are in Dublin. I think we had one from Galway a couple years ago (and will have two from there in a few months :)) but that’s it. Now as behind-the-times as this country is where the internet is concerened I know for a fact they they do have access out in the country so where are all the Culchie Dopers?
