DMark Discovers Canadians Like Cher

So, tyring to find an original Christmas gift for my brother and his wife who live in Ontario, I happened to see that Cher is performing her, what, 385th? farewell concert tour there on this coming Monday.

Great!

I will buy two tickets and have them waiting for my brother and his wife at the will-call window.

So I call Ticketmaster in Ontario.

“Tickets for what show?”
“Cher concert.”
(Ticketmaster operator laughs out loud, then regains her composure.)
“Uh…you would have a better chance at winning lottery than getting a ticket for that, but I’ll check.”
(Two seconds later)
“Nope. Sold out.”

At any rate, it was a good idea…I think I was just maybe two months late.

At the risk of being “out there” - I live in Ontario and, yes, Cher is sort of my hero - she can still bring 'em in for a sold out show at her age and she’s in great shape. I just wish she hadn’t done the lip thing.

Don’t get me wrong…a Cher concert could be fun (which is why I thought of it as a gift), and I see the opening act is the Village People…talk about a time warp.
Don’t suppose you have two extra tickets for that concert you would like to sell me?

We do? This is news to me.

No, I’m afraid I was unable to get tickets as well…guess I’m just not fast enough on the phone! The scalpers will have excellent seats in front of the stadium before the show but buying them from L.A. will be tough!!!
