Do neutered cats still ejaculate?

My poor Mr. Balls is the very picture of sexual frustration. He is neutered, but he still acts out his horrible urges on his little stuffed purple mouse. The problem is that it’s too small for him to effectively hump, so he carries it around to different parts of the house, yowling and trying without success to seal the deal with it.

I’ve tried giving him larger toys, but he cannot love another. I was pondering whether to build some sort of elevating device, a cat-sized wedge pillow if you will, when it occurred to me that if he actually succeeds he may make a mess of his little mouse.

So my question is this: will a neutered cat produce anything at all upon orgasm? Because he’s my bro and all, but I just do not need that in my life. No way.

Not sure, but I think yes. Any number of threads have touched on castrati or general-purpose eunuchs’ balls with the same question.

In humans, the testicles produce only sperm, the majority of the ejaculate is fluid produced by other glands (Cowpers, mostly). Thus castrated or vasectomized humans can still ejaculate; but without any potent sperm in their ejaculate.

Presumably, neutered cats are the same.

It’s possible, but it would be such a small amount I doubt you would notice it. It’s likely he’s already done it and you haven’t noticed it so far. I have one cat that masturbates, never noticed any discharge. Honestly it’s the happy drooling he does while purring that makes more of a mess.

I thought neutering was meant to remove those urges. Was it cats that could have undescended testicles and hence not be completely neutered?

I thought that too. He’s eleven years old and he’s been neutered since he was a kitten, so I’m not sure why this is only now becoming an issue. Maybe they grew back!
