I am up and at 'em this morning. I was going to make the drive down to Olympia because I need to take care of some fleet admin business, but it can wait until Monday. I have too much on my plate today to worry about getting a car washed, vacuumed and cleaned and then taking pictures to send to my FSR at GSA. My Monday calendars are usually pretty devoid of meetings, so that will work better for me AND traffic will be slightly lighter.
So, my county has rolled back to Phase 2, which means restaurants revert from 50% capacity to 25% capacity among other things. It’s one of only three counties in the state to have to do this. Le sigh. If people would just wear their freakin’ masks and quit making such a fuss over it, things would be much better. I become eligible to get jabbed in a couple of days. When that happens, I’ll contact my HMO and try to get that done. I expect it will still take a while until I actually get a jab as there is somehow a vaccine shortage in my county too, according to county officials.
I am glad to read there were no falls for FCD. I’m still going to hope he can get in sooner, rather than later. It just seems ridiculous that someone all of a sudden prone to falls isn’t getting in any sooner.
Thanks for the well-wishes on the interview, everyone. It’s a phone interview. I was surprised it wasn’t being done over Teams, but maybe one of the panel have connectivity issues.
Sprinkles for breakfast sounds completely unappealing, lol!
I am glad things are going well for Beamette, Sunny. Sending best wishes that all continues to go well.
So much on my plate at work today, I don’t even know where I’ll start. It just never stops, but it’s the same for everyone within my branch and division, so I am in good company. I do wish it would slow down some, but they always find more for us to take on. We somehow have to take on functions there were performed by multiple people in the past; procurement, fleet, leasing, contracting, HR, travel, policy, compliance, IT, and many more. So what maybe five or more people did in the past is now handled by two people but in many cases one person. No one ever works just a straight-eight or nine hours. We all put in extra just to keep up. Still, with all that being said, I still much prefer this organization to my previous organization. I actually work for and with very nice people who lift each other up, celebrate other’s successes, and freely help out if asked.
I think I will need more than my usual two large mugs of coffee today.
