Yep. It’s kinda like driving. If I’ve only had a couple, I’m still usually doing well enough to put a coherent post together. If I’m trashed, I’m usually doing something other than surfing the dope.

Somehow I felt like it would be very disrespectful to do it here, but I wouldn’t think twice about doing it on just about any other message board I frequent. It’s nice to see that others do it. Gee, maybe I’ll start!

No, because I’m never near a computer when I’m drunk. I’m at a restaurant, or bar, or club. Sometimes I’ll come home still a little buzzed and I’ll upload the evening’s photos, but it never occurs to me to post to the Dope.
Sure, all the time. Every once in a while it will be one of those hunt and peck nose two inches from the keyboard jobs. Thankfully drinking doesn’t make me be someone I’m not when I’m sober and it’s hard to tell minus the terrible spelling, grammar and syntax.

Repeatedly. It’s a ritual that when I have to write a paper, I get drunk first. It brings out the Hemmingway in me. It’s also a ritual that when I have to write a paper, I waste as much time on the SDMB as possible. The two often collide.

Nope. I’ve been clean and sober since mid 1990.
I post exclusively after doing lines of coke. Which means that I buy the coke for you guys.

I’m not saying it hasn’t happened, but I am saying it’s been quite a while. Now that I think about it, it’s been quite a while since I’ve been drunk, tipsy or otherwise intoxicated at all.

To answer the OP. Of course. Usually it’s only after an evening beer or glass of wine after dinner, but there have been times when I have jumped on SDMB after an office party while still quite toasty. I try not to post when that overboard, though.

For me, it’s natural because I drink alone, and it’s late and so you are the only saps I have left to talk to…sorry. I gauge my sobriety on how funny the thought is of a baby falling down an up escalator is to me. Just so you know, very funny right now. And that’s how my life works. simple.
