I don’t think most people here know who I am. I contribute as I can, and have posted a few questions and things (and I’ve had good answers) but what I really appreciate is what I learn from reading the posts here.
Well, that and reading the posts that make me laugh until I hurt. They brighten what are usually boring days. Thanks, folks!
I don’t think I’ve made any impact around here. I’d be honestly surprised if ten people know me beyond seeing my name as more than remotely familiar. I post much, much less than I read, because usually someone else has already said what I would have. Aside from the occasional driveby factoid in GQ or poll answer in IMHO, I don’t say much.
So no, no impact.
I doubt that I’ve had any impact. Not likely to unless I could sit on each of you individually (I weigh about 250…and no, I’m not tall). I’ve made a few contributions I’m proud of, but most of my threads have been duds. My e-go should have been e-gone by now, but I persist.
Mild. I give good “medical advice” (no, I am not a real Medical Doctor), my Bro will answer tax questions, and so with those two sources, I am helpful. I also know a lot of trivia. On the other hand, I fall quite a bit short of the SDSAB dudes.
I am rather opinionated, and state my opinion likely FAR too forcefully, however, oddly, I tend to take a middle-of-the-road postion. I don’t think i am too hated- never been pitted, but I am sure a few don’t care much for my style.
I have made no impact whatsoever. I doubt that anyone recognizes my name at all, I have posted nothing of any interest, and if this were real life, someone would have interrupted my sentence already and completely ignored everything I just said.

Well, I’ve a couple of questions answered.

Don’t know about about “impact”, but if I don’t have the name recognition market cornered (curse you, Polycarp, Lib, Q.E.D., Master Wang-Ka, and all you other prolific '99ers), I’ve at least got my foot in the door. Nary a thread exists since March that mentions Tears For Fears without also mentioning me. Generally, I’m brought up in some kind of joking side comment before I even show up; I do vanity searches on my username, but not on TFF.*
To what extent anybody remembers anything about what I’ve actually written, and the general impression people hold of me as a Doper, I have absolutely no clue. Still, it’s nice to be recognized.
*I usually just search for “Roland”, as “Orzabal” is hard to spell. As a result, I now know more than I ever wanted to about synthesizers.
Except to be confused with SPOOFE, of course.

The only time I’ve realised that someone actually read my post was when someone regurgitated a website I’d put on here, but they couldn’t remember where it was from
