And of course by nuts I mean legumes.
I’m trying to see if there’s a correlation between legumes and marriage.

Aren’t peanuts the only nuts that are legumes? (Of course, I like peanuts and most other kinds of nuts as well.)
Would it be totally nit-picky and anal retentive and annoying for me to point out that true nuts aren’t legumes? (If we’re talking about peanuts, I want to change my answer).
ETA: Simulnitpick. Nuts.
I like peanuts and other nuts and am married. But I don’t see how you are going to build any kind of correlation here.
Agreed. This is poor science at best. Is this some kind of pun?
Anyway, I like nuts and am not married. I also like legumes.
I love peanuts but do not like most other nuts. I’ll eat a pecan or walnut if there is some chocolate dessert involved, but that’s about my limit. I actively avoid almonds, macadamias and pistachios. The mere thought of an almond gives me a headache (though I like marzipan, almond extract, and Jergens lotion); I gag on macadamias and pistachios.
Legumes, on the other hand, can live at my house any time. I once heard Rachael Ray say that she never met a bean she didn’t like, and I agree. Navy beans, black beans, lima beans, kidney beans – all are welcome. As are peas and lentils in all permutations.
I’m married. So is my husband who doesn’t like beans, but likes nuts.
Helpful?
I like legumes. Not married.
Wait. I like green beans & (to some degree) peanuts. I actually find most other beans a bit dull.
Of the tree nuts, I really mainly like cashews, macadamias, & brazils. Hate walnuts.
Love almonds, but those are really peach seeds, aren’t they?
Before I voted, the ratios between likes and dislikes were exactly the same for married and unmarried.
I like nuts, to a certain extent. Almonds are great as a snack (wasabi coated ones are da bomb), although I tend to prefer softer stuff, like cashews, peanuts, and my fav: macadamia. I’m not fond of walnuts or pecans.
And no matter what, keep your goddam nuts out of my goddam brownies.
I was allergic to tree nuts before I got married and, astonishingly, getting married did not change that. So I continue to dislike them because of their unwelcome swell-up-and-die-inducing properties.
Silliest poll I ever voted in. That was fun!
Married and love nuts. Married one, in fact.
This is a very strange poll. I can’t imagine why there would be a correlation between these variables.
May I ask what prompted this poll?
I’ll second this. The question made me
But I’m married. I like peanuts and many beans (legumes) and also most tree nuts; my favorites are cashews, macadamias, almonds and walnuts. When I buy ‘mixed nuts’ I buy the ‘premium’ kind: no peanuts! I like peanuts just fine, but IME, mixed nuts have too many peanuts!
The Friends vs. Seinfeld AND are you male poll. It seemed similarly unrelated, which I thought was cool, ya know, two unrelated things examined together, but it turned out that there may be a correlation. So I decided to make a truly uncorrelated poll!
Also, :smack:. I meant nuts like tree nuts. Cashews, almonds, etc.
Never met a nut I didn’t love - including Mr. Singular.
Do you like beans? Do you like George Went? Would you go to see a movie with George Went eating beans? Have you ever eaten beans with George Went?
Other than allergy problems, I’ve never run into a person who categorically didn’t like nuts.
I am married and generally like nuts, but I am allergic to cashews, pecans, and chestnuts.
My husband is married and will eat smooth peanut butter but otherwise will eat no nuts of any kind.
There seems to be a strong correlation between liking nuts and answering this poll.
I like nuts, but I liked them all my life and I haven’t been married all my life and I didn’t get married because I like nuts.
Looks like no correlation.
