Do you own (and use) a bathrobe?

Fairly simple. Do you own a bathrobe (dressing gown)? If you own one, do you use it regularly?

I don’t own one as of today. I think I’ll get one with the inevitable gift cards I’ll get for Christmas. I’ve enjoyed using them when I’ve been in nice hotels.

I do. It is my go to comfy “lay about the house” weekend clothes

Yes, a big fluffy brown one. I use it when I first wake up, when I head straight into the bathroom to shower for the day. Somewhat less in the summer months, when I’m warm enough without it.

I have a couple of big fluffy cotton ones and I use them instead of bath towels. I just step out of the shower into it, with a small towel for my hair. Then I lounge around a bit until I feel dry enough to dress. It’s much nicer then thrashing about with a big rectangle of cloth.

I used to have one. I liked using it when I did. But I didn’t really use it all that often. I’d never buy one, but if another one was gifted to me, I’d definitely use from time to time.

No.

When I have to get up for my 5:00 east coast conference call, I just turn off the camera.

I have a few of different weights, but I prefer a T-shirt and pajama pants for mornings before I get around to getting dressed. I took a light robe on business trips.
My wife wears one in the mornings.

I wear mine on a regular basis, it’s what I wear every time I use my hot tub. When I get out, I dry myself from the waist up, put on my robe then remove my swimsuit. I drop the swim suit off at the laundry room on my way to get dressed.

I have one - a thick one from LL Bean - but I rarely wear it except during winter. It’s nice to have when needed, however.

I only wear a wedding ring to bed, so I have a bathrobe to go down the hall from where I sleep to the shower. I don’t have to, it’s only my husband and me, but I like having it when I get out of the shower, after I’ve dried off with a small rectangle of cloth.

Love the visual:

I wear a bathrobe if I have a guest and need to walkabout before I’m ready to dress for the day. Like, going to make coffee for me and guest. I don’t relax in a bathrobe: my legs get cold and I hate that and might as well dress, even in slouchy clothes.

I have one but never use it. It’s almost as easy, and much more comfortable, to slip into sweatpants and sweatshirt.

Hella yeah! I have 2!

I have a long, thick terry cloth one and a silky soft fleece one. First thing I do upon arising is throw one on. My robe and a nice pair of lounge pants are my favorite attire for just hanging around the house.

I have two in use, and one still in its package. I only use them after I shower.

I have two, a blue flannel one that’s starting to wear out and a fluffy dark brown terry cloth one.

Don’t use them all the time, but definitely throughout the winter.

I use it only to go to the hot tub on the deck. I wear either sweats or gym shorts in the house.

Yeah, I use one every morning, despite living in the wet tropics now. It’s a pink fluffy thing, and I use it as a personal armour against the kitty who wants to knead me to death. I might be suffering from heat stroke, but the bitch can’t get her claws into me at dawn.

Yes. I use them for when I just get out of the bath: I feel cold and wet no matter how warm it is and a bathrobe helps with both of these. I occasionally use it to sleep in or to walk in the house after getting up from bed if it’s really cold, but that rarely happens

I have a bathrobe (not a dressing gown, ffs) that I wear in the winter. I’ll begin using it in about a month. Since we don’t have neighbors who can see us, I wear it to take the dogs outside in the morning.

I have a cotton house coat, another in t-shirt fabric, and a long fuzzy robe for cold weather. Since I sleep in an oversized t-shirt, I’ll put one of these on when I leave the bedroom in the morning.
