At the risk of hijacking this thread, I have to ask a question of those of you who brush your teeth in the shower. Do you keep your toothbrush and toothpaste in the shower? Or do you bring it into the shower with you? Or is the shower right next to the sink so you can reach out and grab your toothbrush when you’re ready? (OK, that’s three questions; sue me.)

That would just be nasty and wrong.
I don’t make it a point of peeing in the shower. But if I get the urge, I don’t see why not, with the water running and soapy water running down the drain.

Seems it would be unsanitary to keep a toothbrush in the shower/tub enclosure. I brush my teeth in the shower but my tub is adjacent to the sink and counter. I just reach out while showering, grab toothbrush from the cup on the counter, brush my teeth, put toothbrush back.

If I’m about to shower anyway and I have to pee, I don’t bother visiting the toilet first.

Good Og, urine is sterile, s t e r i l e, when it leaves the body. The stuff you scrub off your body showering is nastier than pee. And most people who do it empty their bladder well before they finish showering, so the pee gets flushed with more water that a typical toilet would use. If you break out the bleach, it will be a purely psychological aid for you. Save it for what you really need it for.

Not to mention that you regularly touch things that are dirtier than toilet (seats) (same goes for your toothbrush if you leave it in the open by the toilet and don’t close it when your flush)…

I’ve done this. Gotta pee..then realize I’m just going to shave and hop in the shower..so might as well use the shower drain quickly..

Yeah but only my own. Doing it in other people’s showers just seems wrong. I wouldn’t want some houseguest pissing in MY shower, even though intellectually I know it’s harmless. That makes me classy, right?

Soggy food and showered drinks would gross me out before pissing in the shower.

I don’t do it to avoid the toilet anymore, I was doing that and it was making my shower smell bad so idk about piss being too sterile. But if I gotta go when I’m already in the shower, I gotta go. And every now and then probably wouldn’t do anything to your shower.
