Do you suck on candy canes or bite them?

How do you eat candy canes - by sucking/licking them, or biting them?

I tend to be lazy/impatient and bite on them after a bit of sucking.

Candy canes yuck!

I generally think I prefer to suck them, but around the point I get it to a nice pencil point, I generally start getting impatient, and just bite it the rest of the way.

I voted Lick/suck, but in reality I very rarely eat a candy cane. Probably none in the past 5 years or so. But if I did, I’d suck it.

Candy canes, or any other hard candies - suck a bit, crunch, suck a bit more, crunch again…

I’m a biter.

Biter here too.

I prefer the miniature candy canes–you don’t have to fight with the skin-tight wrapper, and you can chomp them nearly by the handful.

I had a molar tooth chip by biting hard candy…never again

A good candy cane is not too hard but rather a little bit soft. Still makes a crunch but with a lot of give.

I haven’t really had candy much in the past 20 years, but I liked candy canes when growing up, and usually would suck on them til they got really thin and pointy then would snap off the tips and chew on them, then suck a bit more.

I have to admit, I much preferred buttercreams to candy canes, though candy canes are great crushed and sprinkled on top of chocolate/almond bark.

I suck on them to make a very sharp point i can poke my siblings with.

I thought they already sucked?

Both-Bite off a chunk and suck on that. I don’t like sticky foodstuffs waving around in the air.

Any kind of hard candy I wind up biting sooner rather than later.

Both. Suck until bored, then bite and chew.

Same here. I work up a super sharp point then invariably poke myself on accident and throw the damn thing away in frustration.

I grew up poor. I let M&Ms dissolve on my tongue.
