Do you suck?
Or… bite?
Me? I’ll start sucking, maybe a few licks, but all too soon I’ll bite. A regular Mr. Owl.
I also prefer purple Tootsie Pops.

This is a silly poll, but I’ll bite:
In the day when I actually ate lollis, I would normally bite them. Now that I’m all growed up, I try to be a bit more patient. But in the case of the beloved tootsie, I must bit once the chocolate center starts to poke through.
And my favourite Tootsie Pop flavour is raspberry.
I’ll tend to suck for a while. Then when I start getting bored with it, or if it’s at the point where I start getting lolly cuts on my tongue, I’ll bite.
Another purple Tootsie pop fan.
I’m a licker and sucker, no biting, til you get to the tootsie roll. I also prefer purple tootie pops.
I’m scared one of my (fake) teeth will fall out, so I never bite. I suck. Preferably on a watermelon blow pop.
I’m a licker/sucker. (All right, Rue, that’s quite enough out of you).
Chocolate Tootsie Pops, please. Or those fluorescent green lime-flavored ones like they gave out at the bank when I was a kid. They might still give 'em out for all I know.
I just feel stupid asking for one nowadays.
Zap!
I actually like Dum Dums. I break the stick off them, then pop the candy-licious part in my mouth for a nice long suck. The only bad part of this method is there’s always a little stick butt left after the candy’s gone. I like peach the best, but green apple is pretty good too. I will eat those florescent lime green lollypops too, mmmmmmm lime. Those I usually bite off pieces to suck on until it’s all gone or suck on it with the stick poking out of my mouth. If they sold raspberry Tootsie Pops without the tootsie center, I’d buy a bunch of em. (Those I suck until I get to the center, then throw away. If I want a Tootsie Roll, I’ll eat a Tootsie Roll. Don’t hide it in my sucker, thanks.)
I always suck them until they get to small. Then I chew the rest. Starbust makes really good lollipops with chewy stuff in the middle. Yum. I like sucking on things.
No, dammit. I won’t say it! Iwon’tIwon’tIwon’t!
Zap!
I suck on everything and I never bite because it hurts my teeth sometimes. If there’s something in the middle I just suck until it comes loose. Yummy. The red Charms Blow Pops are my favorite but I also like Tootsie Roll Pops.
I try to suck…I really do, but after several sucks and/or licks I just have to bite. Favorite lolli? Gotta be the orange tootsie, but I do enjoy the mystery of a “?” Dum Dum. I think biting lollipops goes right along with swallowing gum–I always seem to do that, too.
Also, I often bring tootsie pops to work for the candy dish. You ain’t never lived till you’ve seen your big bad boss with a lollipop in his mouth…Try it and see!
Sorry, but I ain’t got no time for no lollipops. Bring on the chocolate!
But if we’re talking See’s suckers, then I have to suck on 'em for a while until they get small enough to bite. Then I have lollipop residue in my molars for a few hours.
Now you know.
Well seeing as chuppa chups mark the pinnacle that suckable lollies hope to attain, I will base my answer on thid:
I lick the chuppa chup until it is a comfy size in my mouth. Then I suck it, rotating it. Finally, I bite it and chew the remains.
So I am a jack of all trades.
And strawberries and cream is my fave
Li
And the Starburst ones have superior sticks.
Oh…and I suck on them, until there’s just a little shell of hard candy around the chewy part…mmm…
This being IMHO and all, I guess I have to respect your opinion. Even if it’s wrong. (OK, I’m kidding here.)
But Chuppa Chups? Ewww. I’m basing this on one bad tin of them. Every flavor combo was bad. But the tin was cool. It looked like an old milk can painted in a cow pattern. I still have the tin.
Remeber the Life Savers suckers? Giant Life Savers onna stick? They were good. Do they still make them? I liked the green ones. (Not as much as purple Tootsie Pops, but there you go.)
The big Charms suckers were good too. Not the Blow Pops. Gum centers aren’t good for sucker biters.
(But Zap’s a sucker sucker. If he was extremely gulible he’d be a sucker sucker sucker. Ha! I crack me up!)
And Safe-T-Pops, the sucker with the soft stick that doubled back into the candy at both ends. You’d have a loop of soggy paper. I guess if you accidentally swallowed the whole thing, someone could grab the loop out of your throat before you choked to death. Or the loop just wouldn’t put your eye out if you were running with them. But they were extra safe for some reason.
-Rue.
Oh yeah, they were good. Especially the blueberries and cream flavor. Superior suckers to suck when sucking suckers was splendiferous.

Nice to know that somebody laughs at your jokes.
Actually though, I prefer to think of myself as “trusting.”
Zap!
I suck Tootsie Pops down until there is a shell about 3/8 of an inch thick around the chocolate part, and then I CRUNCH the sucker!
I love the texture of the little bits of candy mooshed up in the Tootsie Roll part.
Grape is, by far, the most superior Tootsie Pop flavor.
I heart the “?” Dum-Dum, as well. Cream soda is my favorite flavor, but even cream soda can’t compete with the thrill and mystery of the “?”.
I’m not a big fan of candy-on-a-stick, but on the rare occasions when I need a sweet fix and nothing else is available, I’ll suck on one till I can extract the stick, then pretend it’s a hard candy. But for some reason, I can’t suck a Tootsie Pop, no matter how I try to control the urge to crunch.
FWIW, I don’t like ice cream on a stick either. Maybe it’s the stick… Make of it what you will…
I’m a licker/sucker, too… oh, you meant lollipops. Right.
My favorite? Lemonade flavored blow pops.
Deep down I’m a sucker but I prefer sucking on smaller pieces, so if you saw me with a lollypop you might guess that I was a biter, but you’d be wrong; I’m actually just biting pieces off so that I can have more surface area from which to suck.
My favorite part of a tootsie pop is the paper stick that’s been marinating in fruity sweetness and chocolatey goodness the whole time I’ve been working on the candy part of the lollypop. It wouldn’t stand on its own – for instance, I wouldn’t buy a whole bag of sticks – but, man, do I love that paper stick.
As a young kid, I was always a fan of the orange Tootsie Pop, but sometime during my adolescence I became a raspberry lover and have remained so ever since.
