Do you think it is a good idea for mother’s day gift?
I’m sure she’ll appreciate the thought, but people usually like to pick their own clothes. Why don’t you take her shopping for mothers day instead and make a nice day of it?
I think it’s a gorgeous dress, but so much is up to individual taste that there’s no guarantee. If you know your mom’s taste and what flatters her, I’d say go for it. If you’re pretty sure, but not absolutely, include a gift receipt.
And your mom is very lucky to have such a thoughtful child.
If you know what your mom likes and what looks good on her, as well as her size, it could be a great gift. It is a pretty dress. However, if it is a style she likes, she might already own something similar. Maybe get her a gift card for the store and show her what you wanted to buy for her and let her choose? Or find out what their return policy is, so it won’t be too hard for her to exchange it. Buying clothes for others is really difficult to get just right.
As a mid-40’s aged mom, I really like Chadwicks’s stuff. I’m going to poke around in their site some more after this post. I have been looking for a dress with a front like the one you linked to, but in my case, I need it to have some kind of short sleeve to hide my upper arm flabbage. Does your mom wear sleeveless garments with confidence? That could be something to keep in mind. I won’t leave the house in something sleeveless without a jacket or light blouse to hide my arms.
