Does anyone actually *like* those cardboard "baked" chips better than the originals

I love the baked chips! Cheetos, regular Lays, Doritos, they are all fantastic! Now I am going to have to go buy a bag later tonight.

Are you saying pizza with all three of those ingredients together, or separately? Because I happen to think all of those things are quite tasty on pizza (although not combined). In fact, when I was in Italy, artichokes were a common pizza topping.

I much prefer the baked chips, because my fingers don’t feel all greasy after I eat them. The best of all are Utz brand baked potato chips – they actually taste like potatoes! I think it’s a regional brand, maybe in the mid-Atlantic region of the U.S., because I never heard of them until I moved here.

Lay’s and Doritos and Tostitos have some pretty decent baked chips, too. Nothing compared to Utz, though.

I swing both ways…

…when it comes to chips, anyway. Baked Lays are great for when I want a snack that’s still somewhat healthy, regular version for the days I feel “naughty” and want the taste of good old fashioned deep fat fried potatoes.

Pizza with pineapple is delicious.

Jeez, absolutely! Given an unlimited choice, I’ll choose Munchos, but, absent them, I love Baked Lays, waaaay more than regular. Much less greasy, and better flavor and texture. The fact that they’re slightly better for you is a bonus, but is a bit diminished when you eat three bags.

I’ve seen them individually, but all together wouldn’t be any worse. If you want to eat that stuff, fine, just don’t call it pizza. Do you realize the same slicing tool cutting your artichokes is contaminating my real pizza (with sausage, pepperoni, and bacon naturally).

Didn’t mean to hijack, to stay on point I’ll add that if you eat baked chips, the terrorists win (and baby Jesus cries, etc…).

Oh, and what would* Italian’s *know about PIZZA?! Sheesh

I have learned the hard way that an entire bag of Baked Lay’s is not an appropriate meal choice. They are so delicious but all the salt burns your mouth and then you have to go through the embarrassing ordeal of your roommate seeing you throw out the empty bag. :o

Munchos are a trick of The Debil. They are so good, but so salty. If I eat them I swell up like a tic from the salt.

Regular potato chips are way too greasy, so I prefer the baked stuff over them.

I don’t buy regular chips anymore. I love regular chips but I think the baked ones are great and then I don’t have to feel like shit eating a normal amount of chips with my healthy sandwich (or to be honest, pigging the hell out on chips…)

My favorite are the baked ruffles - cheddar and sour cream. Can’t eat those directly out of the bag or I won’t stop. I also like the plain baked lays. I’ve gotten the baked cheetos in 100 calorie packs and they were good, but don’t buy big bags. Think baked doritos are gross.

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten (excepting that drunken 4am order from that mob-front pizza place in Halifax back in 1993) had artichokes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, grilled zucchini and asiago cheese. Veggies can be awesome on pizza.

Of course, they can be terrible, too. The worst pizza I ever had was in Budapest. Ketchup on round toast, topped with corn, carrots and green peas. WTF???

Don’t feel too bad minor7flat5. Your thread title was guareenteed to draw in more lovers of the accursed things than haters, as it specifically asks for input from the lovers. I remember the first time that I accidently bought baked lays shudders. Actually, I can take or leave the regular kind, but baked is just unpleasant. Also, the normal barbeque flavor is delightful, while the baked barbeque isn’t.
