Does anyone feel like White Elephanting?

?!?!?

Ok, I’ll finish now…

If you want to e-mail me, you are now free to do so. Also, anyone who want’s to send a SECOND package can e-mail me - I know that I’m going to have a few people elephantless.

BTW - the elephanties, and elephantures were randomly assigned - you sent to someone different from who you received from.

Ok - let the bitching begin!

i’m sure that “h” really resembles a type of furniture…

i hope you are enjoying the elephant. the cards didn’t have rules with them.

Heh… your cat probably got a whiff of my critters on the shirt ! He (she?) most likely thought I had sent a playmate…

Hey no problem. I looked at your profile and noticed you’re a writter. I figured those time life books would probably be elementary to a gal like you but threw’em in there anyway.

Glad you liked.

And thanks to Susie Derkins for my stuff!! (Wild Willy’s Heavy Petting Zoo indeed…)

Woohoo, I got mine last night! I’m not sure who sent it, but it included (and this is off the top of my head)
–a Purple plastic high-heeled shoe (which will be very useful to me for reasons too bizarre to mention)
–a little baggie of colored rubber bands
–a book about a female president
–some Mardi Gras beads and other stuff I’m not quite sure about in a little zippy change purse
–a VHS copy of Air Force One
–and somebody is a little psychic, because I was just thinking this past weekend that my DVD of Trainspotting is never going to be returned, and I should just buy it again.

So thank you, mystery elephanter!

YAY! I gots me a box yesterday!

From memory …

– A VHS tape with something on it (didn’t recognize the name)
– A tiny bowling set (ball is maybe 1" across)
– A comb
– A yellow fleece tiny blanket - like a doll blanket almost (the dog was interested in sniffing that one)
– An empty Bac-Os jar
– A can of Red Bull
– Two embroidery hoops (my husband will use those - he’s a cross-stitcher)
– A canister of silver glitter (which got on EVERYTHING else in the box)
– A little box covered in cool purple Chinese-looking fabric filled with pastel glass beads

I may have left something(s) out. I was really tired when I got home.

Bitching?

I have less junk now than when I started I WIN!

Well how about that. It does look like a rocking chair. Who’da thunk? Thanks rocking chair!

Sucks about the rules though. See if I can’t find them online just for fun.

Glad you liked it!

My daughter and I got the nicest surpise today…a very full box of goodies that were individually giftwrapped. I wish you could have seen my six-year-old’s eyes light up when I opened the box and it was full of wrapped presents. I let her open them, and she made three piles: one for her, one for me, and one for us. We got:

A stuffed elephant (very nice, and yes, red will do)

A stuffed gorilla holding a basketball (made me think of this thread)

Two purses (one nice black one that I will use, and one cute pink one for my daughter)

Two beanie bears

A Mad Libs card game (which the kid was super-excited about, since I just bought a big book of Mad Libs a few weeks ago that totally cracks her up)

A little treasure box that she plans to paint

A bath set

An Intuition razor (which happens to be the kind I use, and I needed a new one)

A corkboard thingy

The soundtrack to Aladdin (I actually used to have this one way back when, so I can sing along to the whole thing already)

A deck of Coca Cola playing cards

A Fiona watch

A basket

And various little goodies: an inflatable pen, balloons, some craft sticks, a snowman thingy, tissues, Christmas labels, halloween pencils, a Taz air freshener and coin purse (?) and some hair bands.

And WE GOT TO OPEN ALL OF IT, which was just awesome. Thank you so much, BrattiAtti, you are the coolest person EVER!!

I got it! I got it! Thanks so much~~~yesterday was an incredibly long and stressful day, during an incredibly long and stressful month, and what a treat it was to come home to…more Garfield books than I have ever seen in one place! And candle holders! And picture frames! And a pewter bud vase that is going on my desk at work!

Thanks, anyrose.

you’re welcome
I’m happy to share (plus now I have more shelf space  )

And oddly enough, I had two copies of Trainspotting.

I’m told the shoe is a cell phone holder… I don’t question these things.

Enjoy

I still am elephantless…picunurse - I’m so sorry it got broken…it was really cool - a mallard with a little tray in front of it…the shells are actually escargot shells I got many years ago with the intention of making escargot however…finally decided they would never be used…when I do next clean out will pack stuff better.

Hey RumMunky, did your package arrive? I mailed it about two weeks ago, it should have found its way across the country by now.

Same question for you, Ultraviolet

No, I haven’t got it yet, but it could be tied up at the border yet. I’m not worried, it’ll get here. I’ll let you know when it arrives.

It just arrived today, and what a box of bounty it was! Thank you so much!!

I got :
-a container of margarita salt
-mini-maracas
-stickers
-fancy thumbtacks
-a Garbage Pail Kids scratch and sniff card
-a make yourself a pair of leather moccassins kit
-some British coins (these will come in handy for my next trip!)
-a necklace that says “Stephanie” (which will come in handy if I have to impress someone named Stephanie!)
-some make-over software (looks neat!)
-a cat toy with a pink feather on the end (my Cosmo will love it!)
-some nice-smelling incense from Pier 1
-a box of beautiful blank cards with fairy pictures on the front (these are lovely)
-a plastic purple fish necklace with a bubble wand inside
-a Presidents of the United States ruler (how did you know that I don’t know all the presidents?)
-candy (sugar-free Life Savers and some Haw flakes)
-a tiny straw hat (for a doll, I guess?)
-tubes of glitter
-a plastic purple heart that comes apart and has holes in it (I don’t know what this is for… any hints?)
-and last but not least, a clear capsule with green powder in it that I’m a little leery of, since I have no idea what the powder is (supervitamins?, some kind of craft supplies?)

Thanks again! This was so cool - better than Christmas! I am so in next time we do this!

Relax, I have more fun sending the Eles, anyway. I do like escargot, though, too bad they broke. I don’t know where I’d get snails anyway.
Besides, when Hubby found out it all broke, he brought me roses. So, indirectly, you caused me to get roses. You rock!

I believe it’s used for catnip. At least, the plastic purple heart that comes apart and has holes in it in my house came with a big bag o’ catnip.

What Draelin said. It’s a catnip ball. Type. Thing.

Glad you liked everything! The maraca pen, plastic fish, straw hat and little green pill were all small giveaways at a recent company picnic, so there’s no real backstory to any of them. As for the green pill, it’s a grow-sponge-thing. Apparently, you put it in water, the capsule melts, and the tightly packed sponge inside grows into a funky animal of sorts. S’posed to be neat. My wife got me a Spider-Man one once!

Speaking of which, my wife is Stephanie, so I don’t know how impressed any of your Stephanies will be since the original recipient had no problems giving it away…

The makeover software doesn’t work with WinXP, unfortunately. We picked it up for $5 at a garage sale and it’s sat forlornly in the office ever since.

The mocs were a present from my mom, but (as you can see), after almost finishing the first one, we found that they were much too small for my stoopid big feet. Stoopid feet!

And we just wanted to get rid of the ruler with Dubya on it.

Again, I’m glad you enjoyed it, and I’m sorry it took so long!
