Does anyone here like eggs?

Wow. Hooray for eggs!

Eggs are a great source of a lot of useful things. The fact that they taste really good is a definite bonus! I love them scrambled (the Waffle House Cheesy Eggs are divine), hard-boiled, fried over easy, and in things like omelets, quiche (no one has mentioned quiche yet???), egg-salad, etc. Not a fan of poached eggs or soft-boiled eggs.

There is a small chain of breakfast restaurants in the Toledo, OH area (used to be called Marie’s, then Marie’s Scramblers, now just Scramblers, I think) that had some heavenly egg recipes. I was introduced to the use of cream cheese in egg scrambles there; that concept has stayed at the top of my preferences ever since.

Air? Blech! You can have it.

Yeah, OP, can you tell us why you’re asking? Did you have a more specific question, like how people order* their eggs?

You don’t honestly need us to tell you if “anyone here likes eggs”, do you?

*Over medium with bacon, by the way. And something like toast or hash browns to soak up the yolks at the end…

Yes I like different types of eggs and I would like to know the different types of eggs people like. I like scrambled eggs and also fried eggs. Do you like them with anything else? Anyone have ant types of things to eat with these?

Yes I think it’s a good thing to say in relation to eggs that the actual egg in the morning would say “You crack me up!” and “The yolk’s on you!” or you can say in relation to eggs in the morning “I like mine with a kiss” or Sunny Side Up or something like that and yes different songs about eggs and things like that. Anyone have any stories about these? Or odd types of eggs that they havr eaten like these?

Love them. Whenever I have baked a fresh bread, we have an omelette. Since I baked a bread this afternoon, I will be making an omelette (aux fines herbes) in a few minutes. One I really like is to cut up and fry a few strips of bacon and then add the eggs right into the same pan and let them set, then turn it.

Recently saw some supposedly perfectly scrambled eggs by some big chef. They looked completely underdone to me. Very gloopy I want that bit of browning in them, or I would just cook them in the microwave.

I’m also not a huge fan of runny yolks. Maybe a slight bit of gel in the eggs so they aren’t completely hard, but not runny. Boiled eggs can be as green as you want. I’ve only had poached from the microwave: open an egg in a mug with water, and then microwave for about a minute, adjusting as you go. Then I mashed them, making them taste just like boiled but in less time for a single meal.

As for deviled eggs: they don’t really need anything other than being mixed with Kraft mayo. It has the other ingredients already in. It’s not sweet, but it’s not really sour, either. More creamy.

Finally, I rather like boiled egg yolks in my potato salad. It’s weird how well it works.

I like eggs if they are mixed up and yellow. I cannot eat them poached or fried–that big yellow yoke makes me nauseous.

As for hard boiled, forget about it.
