Does anyone here own an ENERMAX case?

The reason I’m asking is that I’m trying to put together a computer and this case didn’t come with any kind of manual. Usually they’re pretty straight forward but for some dang reason I can’t get the front panel off of this case! I don’t want to pull to hard for fear of breaking something.

Here’s a link to the case

I didn’t have a ton of time to dig at it because it arrived during my lunch hour. Thanks!

Are you sure the front comes off? What are you trying to do, put CD drives in?Have you checked to see that the cage for the drives doesn’t swing out instead (you load the drives from the back of the cage)? I’ve run into that alot lately.

Alot of times (that I’ve seen) when a case has front ports, the front doesn’t come off at all.

Most cases don’t have the entire front panel easily removeable, usually there’s a removeable drive bay like ZipperJJ said or those little 5.25" panels covering the optical bays pop off from the inside of the case. There’s probably some little tabs that you have to press with a flatblade screwdriver and they just pop out so that you can slide a drive in from the front. Take the side panels off, get a little flashlight and look carefully.

Here are some interior pics

In looking at the interior picture it looks like you could remove the stamped metal 5.25 drive blocks (twist them back and forth until they snap off) and pop out the plastic 5.25 inserts, to get the drives in without having to remove the entire front panel assembly.

lHere’s a manula for the similar cs -3188. It indicates there’s a locking tab at the bottom you can release to make the panel hinge forward and off.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. When I got off from work tonight I had much more time to work with it. This damn case has 6 screws in the front! As soon as I took them out, the case came apart easily. I guess it’s just been to long since I bought a case. I surely can’t remember one where the front doesn’t just ‘pop’ off. Other than the front panel, it’s a beautiful case! I just upgraded my 1.1 ghz to this 3.3 ghz. Man, this moves!
